One thing good about people leaving the UFC...
If there is a good thing at all I guess it would be that it will give us a reason to post in the other topics on the FF. haha

Another good thing is that they might be signed by organizations that allow cross promotion so we could see them again (if we want to)

I think it will be good in the long run. The UFC might be the big dog, but they're by no means the best. People leaving will only strengthen the other promotions and give us fans more reason to see what else is out there. Having other options besides the UFC is pretty nice.

One good thing about fighters getting cut is they can go else where for more money and possilbly win a title. There is too much talent out there to all be in one org. We need more events all over and the more fighters I reconize the better I'll enjoy the events

The UFC has been letting fighters go and signing new talent all along. Nowadays though its not enough to just have a name, you still have to win and be popular with the fans. There is just so much talent now that promotions can afford to let good fighters go who just might not be winning at the moment. At least with events like Strikeforce, EliteXC and others they can still find work without having to leave the sport.

And it frees up money to pick up other HW fighters that I actually care about.

I want the other orgs though to pick it up enough to where their fighters can legitimately challenge UFC fighters. Right now they can't. We saw what happened to Nick Diaz. I mean he's all but done in MMA. Losing to really sub-par fighters from that "other org" when he should be champion (like Lawler is) now.
I'd love some cross promotional rivalry. Right now I understand why it can't happen. The other orgs just cannot compete numbers wise with The 800 lb gorrilla as Big John McCarthy recently said on Inside the MMA, that is The UFC.
However, if the other orgs play their cards right, continue to make exciting matchups?
I'd love it if one of their champs calls out a UFC champ for a cross-promotion. EliteXC and Strikeforce just proved that it can be done successfully for just one night anyway.

Totally agree. I'm glad pretty much all of us want other orgs to strive in talent. I think as long as mma fans support the cause, I think we have bright future for the sport with many, many match ups ahead.

Haven't a couple guys called out UFC champs? Or was that just Shaw trying to get any sort of fight?
