I procrastinate too much to vote, but I don't think that Serra will be in many (if any) top ten lists. He has to beat Hughes to make it, and some might say that he would need to beat Hughes and an up-and-coming WW to make it into the top ten.
His win over GSP, while amazing, was just nullified, so he needs to reestablish his place with wins over other people.

He did fought, and he did won the Ultimate Fighter, so yeah, around 8 i guesse. Don't count him out. He won against GSP. And that was great, i was cheering for GSP. But i won't count out Serra.!

If he beat either Hughes, Fitch, KOS, Thiago Alves, or Karo then hw would deserve it but a knock out of GSP a year ago was basically it so no.

No way- one fight does not a career make. He'll be back at LW by next year anyway.

hmmmmm, i'd probably put him in there maybe around 9 or 10, have to win his next fight fairly impressively otherwise he'll drop out mine and ill put his GSP win down to sheer fluke

I still think he is a great fighter, but I do think he needs to prove himself a lot more to be in the top ten, hopefully his fight with Hughes can now happen...

That is one top ten that he could probably crack easier than WW. Not that the LW is thinner or easier (we all know it isn't), but I always wanted Serra to drop after TUF because he's tailor-made for it.

I would say he's barely top 10. Right now I'd rank him at maybe 9 or 10. Depending on how he does with his next fight will determine for me whether he moves up the list or gets knocked off all together.

I dunno, but you know Dana is salivating at the thought of a card featuring Hughes vs. Serra in Madison Square Garden. That would be such a huge draw.

Yeah, but are you referring to the one fight where he beat GSP or his loss to GSP?

He was not top 10 prior to this fight in my eyes. Too many other WWs out there.

I put him in my top 10, purely down to the fact that he beat the previous number 1 guy...something only one other person has been able to do.
OK He hasnt done too much other than that to deserve a top 1-5 spot but imo Matt Hughes hasnt done much since beating BJ over 18 months ago and I bet most people still have him in the top 5. In fact, the only win Hughes has had since beating BJ is Lytle, someone who Serra also beat.
So yeah, I have no problem keeping him in my top 10.

difference is hughes cleared out the division and was champ for a very long time beating everyone but gsp... as serra was on the comeback... since being on a reallity show stating that he wasnt able to make an impact in his first run at his career he has gone 1-1 against the same fighter... in the corse of a year. No way in hell i would ever put him in my top 10... i would have put him in myu top ten before... somewhere in the 10-5 range... definitely not top 5... now he inst even close... and i doubt he will ever earn a title shot in any other weight class or make that much of an impact on lw when he goes back.

Of course he would be top 10 in my opinion.
His win over GSP is not nullified in my opinion. All wins mean something.

Ditto. I put him behind all elite wrestlers because that seemed to be a good blueprint to beat him. However his stand-up looked great vs. GSP in their 1st fight where most people look like complete amateurs when standing vs. GSP. Not to mention he finished him. For now, he stays.
