hmmm.....I've always wondered why GSP's earlier nickname before 'Rush' was "Gayblade.....just kidding.' But seriously it makes more sense now. From what I hear, Huerta is out in the open to friends and family, but GSP isn't......yet. I've actually thought he's been gay for a while. Good for him. Hope he's able to relax and own he is ya know.

Really!? You are serious!? Bravo to Huerta if that's true. It takes some serious balls to be open about it in a field such as this. And if GSP is gay, that will give gay men's perceived strength a whole new makeover. As a matter of fact, I believe that, as these guys become popular, if they openly talk about it, it can help a whole lot of people out there, who have preconceived ideas about gay folks. I am pretty sure most other fighters could not care less about it.

If either Huerta or GSP are gay, then great. Either way, it does not affect me personally and I will have not lost any respect for either fighter. In fact I will probably respect them more for it because of the hardship they will have to endure.
Back on topic. If Huerta is training with GSP, then I may jump on the Huerta title holder bandwagon........maybe. I think he has a better chance of beating Penn than Sherk. And I see Penn beating Sherk.

Did some research on the whole GSP gay thing and came up with this interview from the Winnipeg sun.
Quote:
Q: How hard is it for you to get dates or friends without questioning whether they only like you because you are a celebrity?
A: I don't have a girlfriend, but all the girls I've been going out with, they didn't know who I was and they didn't even know my sport. I'm attracted by a woman who is intelligent that I can have a good conversation with. Beautiful, of course. Honest and loyal. I find that more attractive than some hot gold digger who doesn't know what I'm like on the inside because I'm a fighter. They don't know that I like to read or that I'm a very intellectual person. Fighting is a job. Once I'm finished working, I like to think about something else.

The whole article is here. GSP as far as we publicly know is not gay. / end thread.

so what does that article prove? He likes girls....okay. I could describe what I like in a guy.....I personally am not gay, I just love women too much BUT would that make me gay if I did? My point is....GSP says he likes girls there, and I saw the interview. So what does it prove? I'm cool either way, but I think it's just a matter of time ya know.

After this topic, I did think I would look it up and see if anyone knows anything on the net.
Well, last month a guy called Shad Smith, don't know much about him, but it says he was a KOTC vet, was named by the New York Times and is the first open homosexual fighter ever.
Heres the link....

So he said he likes girls. Last time i checked liking girls, and being attracted to them would constitute as being a heterosexual. Thus proving he is not a homosexual. Unless GSP openly admits he is into guys then there is no basis to claim he is in fact a homosexual. When he openly stated his attraction to the opposite sex.
A matter of time until what im curious?
