Dean Lister vs Jeremy Horn @TUF Finale
UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®
I hope Gumby wins this fight. Lister has some sick BJJ though.

That fight will be boring as hell to about 80% of fans, but I'll enjoy it.

i think this will be a real exciting fight. apparently they fought in 2003 and horn won by majority decision. im gonna pick lister to win seeing as he's never been finished in a fight and has the greater potential to submit horn. this is gonna be a really great techincal war

Wow, I really didn't think UFC was gonna give Horn another fight. I thought they were just using him as a quick replacement to fight Marquardt. Either way, I don't know why they matched up Horn and Lister?

Hopefully they want to educate MMA fans on BJJ. Horn vs Lister will either be horrible, or a very fun to watch chess match on the ground. I have a feeling that Gumby will try to out box Dean though. I mean Lister's standup is....... not very good.

I'm pretty stoked on this match-up, actually - I was wondering when we'd hear from Lister again.

Lister really needs to win this one.
Horn is not the easiest match-up for him though, 'cause his sub defense is pretty good and Lister's not that good at anything besides submissions.
I'm rooting for some spectacular finish from Dean, but I'm also afraid it'll be a boring fight with Horn taking the decision.

Maaaaan, I'm not caring much about this match at all. Since Maia hit the scene Lister is 2nd fiddle (maybe even 3rd), being 2-1 in the UFC and only stopping Alessio Sakara by submission. Not to mention he already has a loss to Horn which I would imagine was a snoozer. I think Lister has to finish this one to stick around.

I agree with you. Gotta love a vet with that many fights under his belt.
With the way this card is shaping up, any chance that they'll have a three hour card again?
I'd hate to lose this fight just to watch a bunch of TUF'ers who lost on the show go at it.

I think they'll keep Maia away from somebody like Lister. Frankly I think Lister would be a bit of a step in the wrong direction. He needs to slowly work his way up in the division.
I like Lister by submission in this one, the winner probably gets somebody like Kendall Grove or the like.

I think Horn will win a decision. There grappling skills nullify subs against each other imo. Lister's cardio is suspect and I don't see Horn KOing anyone.

Hopefully this will be a good fight, but if I remember correctly their first fight was nothing special because Lister gassed and just kind of held on to Horn for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. If they both show up in shape it should be a good ground war. I'll go with Lister by sub in the 2nd.
