I have the same suspicion about Franklin. I believe that cut to 185 is too much and he'd be considerably stronger at 205. OTOH LHW is a far tougher division than MW, so it could be a bad move. One thing for sure, it would give Franklin some high profile fights.

I wouldn't mind Rich vs. Bisping, but again it's probably not a fight that will happen since the UFC doesn't really want to see either one lose.
I really doubt that they are gonna give Hendo another shot at Silva right away. His first 2 UFC fights were both title shots and both loses. I am guessing they will make him fight his way through which ever division he chooses to stay at. And if it is MW , then a fight with Franklin wont be far off.

I think Rich needs to stick at 185. 205's a lot deeper than 185. I think that there are several guys up there that would hand Rich his butt on a plate. The UFC's 205 class is probably the sickest and deepest weight class on the planet.

I think the article raises a good point of the UFC possibly not wanting Rich to keep fighting at 185. Franklin can keep fightin at 18 and IMO ruin a lot of contenders in the process, without ever earning a shot for himself. His next three fights could be something like Hendo, Marquardt and someone like Cote or Almeida, and he could beat them all, and thats bad for the UFC's bottomline, because then Anderson has no one credible to fight.

Anderson has Franklin's number. As long as Anderson is champ, Franklin has no reason to stay at 185. The huge benefit for Franklin fighting at 205 would be he would not have to cut as much weight and would probably come into his fights a lot stronger. Personally, I would rather see Franklin move up to 205 rather then stay where he is.

I dont know about that; I believe Rich is more dangerous standing than Hendo even if Hendo has a little more power.....
