I don't take much value in this espicially since Shonie talks about how deserves a title shot a 170 when he was fighting at 155. It all sounds kind of like sour grapes to me.

I dont know if Ive misunderstood your post, but Shonie fought at both 170lbs and 185lbs in the UFC, never 155lbs (afaik).

Speaking English didn't help him completely destroy the best fighters in the game currently. Are you saying he has to ASK to fight a weaker opponent?
Not enough is made about the way Silva has beaten these top fighter so easily.I can't name another fighter in UFC history that has done so.
He's the baddest man in the game ,but very few know that and it's criminal.

BY the way my issue wasn't with GSP ,a fighter who i rate very highly and always root for.It was aimed really at how the UFC are trying their hardest to get Chuck back on top again. They put him in with a fighter who in his previous fight was ko'd in 70 seconds or so and lost,he still got the reward of fighting one of the biggest names in mma history in Vanderlei, that's suspect.
Liddell didn't deserve such a high profile fight after a loss, but being the UFC's cash cow they are trying to prolong his stay at the top tier.

What do you want them to do with Silva? Zuffa touts him as the best p4p fighter in the world. And Chuck/Wandy was so long overdue it had to happen.

This is my mistake and I suppose I should retract my previous statement. As much as I hate to admit it seems that I was wrong.

Yes sadly. It sucks when 1 org. dominates the entire MMA landscape. This has nothing to do with PRIDE , although i do prefer the japanese produced shows myself. But that is just a matter of opinion and preference.
