Default Is Clementi A Threat?

One good thing came out of UFC 84 for me, and that was Rich Clementi winning his fourth consecutive fight in the UFC. I've been a fan of his since his time on TUF, and if given the opportunity to fight against top level competition I think he would do well. Look at his fight's against Sam Stout and Melvin Guillard, both of those fights he looked very impressive in, if he were matched up with guys like BJ Penn or Sean Sherk obviously people would say he'd get owned, but still he's been beating guys that are proven to be good fighter's so he's on his way up in my eyes.

i cant ever see him challenging for the title, i think hes just a tough guy with a fairly well rounded game, who can provide some good fights against some ranked guys, but will never reach the top level

Yeah, he's pretty much the Heath Herring of the LW division.

I think I'd have to agree that he's good but not the top tier. However, I'd love to see him against a top tier guy.

Seriously I hope they give him to someone like Tyson Griffin next. Wow that would be awesome. I dont see Rich beating anyone in the UFC top 15 or so.

No love for "No Love" Clementi? He's a got a good chin and he's strong. Hope he does well against better competition.

I'm with you... I like Clementi too. I doubt he'll be a contender, but he's a game fighter who is always down to fight. I definately think he'll be around the UFC for a while.

I cant see him being a champ in the LW division, but he's an exciting well-rounded fighter and Im always happy to watch him fight.

That pretty much sums it up right there. He is a great fighter but I can't see him holding a title. He is way more than a gate keeper but not a champ it's kind of weird. I like the guy and wish him luck.

I agree with the people that said he is a solid fighter and provides exciting matchups, but we won't ever see him challenging for the title. Doesn't really matter to me, cause I enjoy watching his fights, because they are almost always exciting.

Thought he was lucky that the guy he was fighting didn't have good take down defence, because he'd have lost the fight had that been the case....

I like Clementi.

But it's not like I'm saying

WOW I wish Clementi and Nate Diaz fight soon.

I won't say he is a threat but he is a damn good fighter. He really needs to calm down a little and get his emotions under control before he becomes top tier.
