Ultimate Ice Man On Spike This Sat...
Looks like the UFC is going to try and steal some of the ratings by airing the Ultimate Ice Man on Spike this Saturday at 8PM. This is the same time that CBS airs Elite XC fights. It's going to be interesting to see the ratings for both of them. I'd be surprised if more people watch the bio on Chuck Liddell. They are also going to be having a TUF 7 marathon, and on UFC Unleashed will be showing Liddell's fight with Silva.
Just a heads up for people.

Aside from Kimbos fight I wont be watching Elite Xc's event. No doubt gonna watch Chuck vs. Wandy again.

Yeah not like they would show the loss to rampage even though I like that fight. MMA needs more elbows to the body from top position...brutal.

Sorry, but I'll be watching Elite XC. Live MMA vs a bunch of Chuck stuff I've already seen is a no brainer.

For all Dana's talk that all the other org's aren't a threat, he has no concern for them, they sure are trying to make it hard for them. (which is a savy business move, gotta give credit where its due)
If fans know there are two channels w/ fights, and the live event is lacking, there is a chance to steal the ratings with decent production value (the Bio) and memorable moments (highlight fights)...Brand association re enforcement.

I'm pretty sure this is just a re-hash of the "Ultimate Ice-Man" DVD that came out last year. If it is, it only goes up to the last Randy fight. It has interviews with his family and stuff and Dana and other fighters saying how great he is. It's alright but nothing youse all havent seen before.

The UFC has stuck to this model and it's a smart move for them. They are still the only established brand and do their part to keep it that way. Uh oh, Chuck Liddell is getting attention, George can feel his pedestal shake.

Yeah, i've seen that Chuck LIddell Life Story stuff before. Back in 2004 when he fought Tito the first time, they have a PPV special on Chuck Liddell's life and Tito's life and the similarties.
They're just gonna talk about how Chuck's dad dumped his mom and that Chuck used to be bullied in school and kept coming home with black eyes until his mom enrolled him in karate and told him to fight back?
Well, karate classes, 20 years plus later and a UFC LHW champion? That's basically Chuck's Life Story.
Mom made him who he is!
Awesome story, but as Nublood said, it's something we've seen before. I'm far more interested in the EliteXC debut on CBS>
