One can only hope. Let's see if Rua can look half as good in his next UFC fight as in his PRIDE days. Half as good should get him far for now.

Thank you Jesus! I've been completely bummed out about his injury since I saw him weigh in for the Forrest fight. He looked soft and I knew something was wrong. I really hope he's physically ready and is able to show why he was the top ranked 205 pounder in the world just 1 year ago.

Why was he?I never understood that opinnion.
I like Shogun a lot.He is one of my favorit fighters but he never bear Silva or Liddel. If he is to be looked at as the best he should get the title.
I know the reason why he did not in Pride but it still makes me not look at him as the best fighter.

Lets see... he beat Rampage very badly... which Chuck couldnt do and he stopped arona instantly which wandy couldnt do in two fights. He also has wins over other top fighters... you do the math

LOL Do you honestly think the Shogun that fought Forrest is the same Shogun that fought Lil Nog or Arona?
Can you honestly not see a difference in the performances???

Shogun went on one of the best runs, if not the best run in a 12 month span in MMA history. That tournament run he had was absolutely incredible, Rampage, Lil Nog, Overeem, and completely running past Arona. I know Overeem is pretty below average but Shogun is clearly one of the best 205ers in the short history of the sport. Add into the fact that hes still young, his ground game is top notch, his knees in the clinch are awesome, and hes tough as nails and he will be a contender for YEARS to come. He should have gotten a shot at the title in PRIDE but ofcourse he wouldnt fight Wand. I still think if PRIDE didnt go under he would have beat Hendo and would be rockin that belt.
Plus he is incredibly marketable, young good looking guy. Cant wait til the day Dana White is puttin that belt around his waist.
Rampage probably has nightmares thinking about that rematch

Like I said.I am a big fan of him.
Chuck not beating Rampage don`t prove anything. You can`t look at it like that.Chuck still had maybe the best MMA career out there.Shogun never performed like he did over many years wich is why I say he have to prove that he can do that aswell.
I can do the maths but they will never be correct.Everyone can be beaten.
Silva beat Jardin, Jardin beat Liddel, Liddel beat Silva=who is best?
Liddel beat Randy 2 times wich is awsome etc.
Silva went for 4 years run unbeaten and beat the sh** out of Rampage 2 times and still could not beat Liddel. The who beats who don`t work out very well.
All I say is that Liddel was the former champ in "UFC".
Shogun need to go and get that title.......
He won`t be number one in my eys until he do so.

haha... last i checked no one was interested in what 205lber was number one in your eyes. You post about it on fight forum for me to read because its free and no one can stop you... lets see you make a website and post any opinions of yours and see if anyone gives you the time of day. MMAweekly who is the most legit rankings out there as flawed as they are had him at number one for a reason weather you like it or not. MMAweekly has people paying them for what they know about MMA as you cant give your (lack of) knowledge away for free. I understand you are a fan and you may or may not know a thing or two about the sport... but where you rank shogun means NOTHING!
now call me an ass hole and be forgotten... thanks now

haha, now you are acting childish. Why would I call you that.
I have no intrest in doing so.
I am here to discuss fighters/fighting and in doing so I state my own opinnions.I don`t care to much about what you think about it but that is what a forum is all about. Not my foult that you go "bannanas" just because someone have another opinnion then youre self.
For me to be the best you got to beat the best.
Shogun never beat Chuck or Silva.I hope he will get healthy again and come back to make a good return match.

"Thats his opinion it may stink but its his opinion" - Matt Hughes
I really like the "Shogun will never beat Chuck or Silva" definitive statement, especially since he will probably never fight Silva, or get the chance to fight Chuck due to age/injury.

Quote wrong for the win
I said he never did it.Not that he could not do it if he had the chance to.
He woould have a good chance to beat bouth of them I think. Liddel he might still fight.Silva and Shogun will not hapend I think.
anyway, it should be Rampage that should be beaten now
After all he is the champ now and have done real well.
I am more afraid we wont see Shogun back like he used to be due to injuries.
Lets hope
