Question regarding fighter records...

I like checking sherdog's fight finder to see who someone has fought and what their record is and I noticed sometimes the records that are on the UFC website don't match up to what sherdog says their record is. For example UFC says Nate Quarry is 14-1, but on sherdog he is 8-1. Do they count unsanctioned fights to beef up fighters records sometimes?

UFC is probably now counting amature fights.

Also sherdog only counts the fights they can confirm. If sherdog dosn't find a record of a fight then it isn't on the fighters records.

Fullcontactfighter.com has a bigger database than Sherdog.

I don't know, but fullcontactfighter also has him as 8 - 1, including amatuer fights.

Thanks I'll have to check out fullcontactfighter too. Yeah I don't get how some people's records match up with what sherdog says(Matt Hughes 38-4) and some fighters records are WAY off!!!

UFC says Joe Schmow is 15-1 but sherdog has him at 1-1 LOL!!
