They also have not previously faced the level of competition that these Pride fighters have.

They have to use the 10 point must system which is clearly flawed for MMA, but it is what it is, and Forrest capitolized on it.

As for Machida, assuming he is upset, and not just a mistranslation, I think he's just upset that someone with brutal leg kicks has the belt. His stance leaves that front leg just sitting out there, and I truly believe if he has to fight Forrest or Jardine he'll struggle because he won't be able to use that wide stance effectively against someone who's willing to pound that knee for 5 rounds every time he plants to exchange.
If using the 10 point Must System, Boxing ALWAYS gives the fighter who dropped the other 10-8 in any round.

Not only did that not happen here, two of the judges gave Forrest a 10-9 round even though he got dropped in round 1.

So that argument is out the door.

Ibarra has a legitimate question in his protest

WHY DID, (If you're using the 10 Point System) Rampage get fewer points in a round he dropped the opponent?

Ibarra has a good point to his protest. Why is it two judges scored Forrest 10-9, and the other two judges scored a 10-9, 10-8 for Jackson? Even though Page dropped Forrest in round 1?

Then the rounds in question 3, 4, did two go for Rampage

Ibarra has legs to his protest. The UFC and TUF fans, don't like that. They want this to go away fast. And sorry.... You're mainstream now. It wont!

That's a question, I think Forrest Huggers dont want answered because they know it already

Should be interesting the outcome of the protest.

Your right that round 1 went to Rampage. The round was going to Forrest until he was dropped. But since Forrest was winning the round it doesn't warrant a 10-8, only a 10-9. Round 2 Forrest leg kicked him 3 times and brought him to the ground in a matter of seconds and Jackson didn't do anything that round, thats why I give him a 10-8. I gave rounds 3 and 5 to Griffin. Even though Forrest was close with Triangle I still gave round 4 to Rampage.

Oh, and Machida says that Quinton won? I don't care if George W. Bush and Barack Obama said Rampage won. Just because they say so doesn't make it so. lol Forrest Griffin won that fight.

LOL Still I love you, you know I do.

But we're not debating who won. Neither is Ibarra. He's simply asking in his protest round by round (as is his right as a trainer under NSAC rules), a clarification and breakdown of each rounds scoring judge by judge.

    LOL.

And it WONT overturn it. NObody, not even Ibarra is asking for that. It will though clarify the scoring and judging.

And as nutty as it was by writers and media who all agree this was a draw at best?

Should be entertaining to see how the protest challenge plays out.

You're all democrats arent you? Why do you object to challenges so much?

Again this isnt boxxing and a knock down is not a knock out.
In boxxing you have a dropped fighter who has a 10 count to recoup or lose & in mma you dont.
As for that cry baby trainer who made an excuse for his statement about retiring... wtf does it matter how the damn rounds were scored if he is not trying to get the outcome reversed?

This topic is pointless and as for us so called forrest huggers hmm well im sure bro you have been hanging to hard on rampages nuts alot harder then the rest of us and forrest.

Rampage brought nothing to this fight but the idea that he was going to own forrest & got surprised when he didnt & that was his down fall as well as that trainer whos name isnt worth mentioning anymore since he can't even keep true to his word.

You know for someone that says you have no issue with who won you sure carry this thing on lol.

Yeah, but, that's what we MMA fans do.

    I'm done.

I'm watchign Rush Hour 3, and am getting ready to watch Chris Tucker get his ass kicked by that 7 foot Kung Fu guy, so maybe that's the cue that I need to STFU.

    But I respect your opinion.

Even though I agree to disagree!

Yeah. I’m neither mad at Rampage nor passionate about Forrest.
I’m simply annoyed by sore losers who refuse to give credit where it’s due.

I was about to tell Krav he’s “losing it” again, but I must have done that about 56 times now.
Maybe I should just accept the fact that he’s lost “it” a long time ago.

Yeah, this isn’t boxing. Dropping someone in MMA does not automatically warrant a 10-8 round. You know this, and you probably agree with it as well. Or used to agree with it before Rampage lost this decision anyway. Ugh, your argument truly is out the door.

I’m having difficulty following you again. I don’t know what your point is about rounds 3 and 4. Nor do I understand how ”two judges scored Forrest 10-9, and the other two judges scored a 10-9, 10-8 for Jackson”.

It’s funny how you’re calling people Forrest Huggers and Democrats and whatever. When you yourself are clearly one of the more biased people here (on this topic and in general). I don’t even consider myself a fan of Forrest (never have). I like the dude and I like Rampage too, but this is just ridiculous.

The only thing I want to go away fast are the crybabies whining about this decision.
Actually, keep whining… I'll get my popcorn and keep poking fun of all of you.

That’s how I scored it too.
3 rounds to Forrest and one of those was 10-8. Not even close to “controversial“. And I scored the fight when I watched it the second time.

I didn't score it the first time, but I remember thinking "Forrest got this" when it ended.
Hell, look at Rampage when they’re about to announce the winner. He knew Forrest won that fight.

He wasn't arguing the decision straight after the fight because he knew just like most other people that he hadn't done enough to win. Then when Juanito told him he thought that he had won the fight, he decided to protest it a bit more.

Me?, I'm just happy we got all this controversy it should make for an interesting rematch.

I don't particularly like either guy but I've watched the fight 3 times now and came to the same conclusion all 3 times. When I watched it on Saturday night, I had it 3 rounds to 2 for Rampage, 10-8 for Forrest in the 2nd for a draw. However, I knew that Forrest would get the decision and had/have no complaints about it. Like a few people have said, Rampage just didn't look like he wanted it enough to go take it, and ultimately that cost him the fight.

What really makes me laugh though is Forrest basically used a "Machida blueprint" to win this fight, yet Machida thought Rampage won.

One thing that i overwhelmingly agree with is that fighters should always have the right to protest a decision. To hold the judges and the athletic commisions accountable for thier actions. I see nothing wrong with this. In fact i would say that its an important step in the right direction.

Who bought who is irrelevant, and this is not a regular company. If you bought an MMA company, you'd do everything in your power to make the match-ups that would bring in the most money and generate the most hype. That's what the UFC has done. It may be your opinion that these guys aren't as skilled, but they are tested against the best and have come out victorious on numerous occasions. You cannot say that about Rashad and Machida just because the have a 0 in their loss column.
