UFC Fighters that you've met?
I used the search bar and couldn't see another topic about this sorry if there is one. In another thread people were talking about a couple of times they had met fighters and they are usually really greatful to get recognised. Since I'm from the U.K I've never got to meet any of them but I have my ideas on what certain people would be like.
So if you've met any of the UFC's fighters, what were they like?

I kind of met Alex Karalexis at an event here in Auburn. I wanted to speak to him but he seemed really ticked off about something so I didn't approach him lol.

I met Matt Serra at the supermarket once. He is exactly how he comes across. He was happy to talk to us and joking around the entire time. Great experience.
I met Burkman at a UFC event. He was pleasant and took a picture with me but when i tried to ask him what his fight plans were he basically just turned his back to me. I already knew he was going to fight Swick, i was just trying to be nice lol.
Mayhem Miller was the best though. At the same event i was waiting on line to pee. Miller walks up to the line, and no one even recognized him! So i was talking to him for a couple of minutes and let him go behind me on line. Some guy tried to say something and Miller didn't even have to act like a tough guy because he's such a clown. He joked it off. Plus by that point they knew he was a fighter because of our conversation, so the guy just kinda bitched to himself lol. After the event my girl and i were leaving the arena and he was by the front door talking to people and taking pictures. He sees me and is like "You let me cut in line to pee! You got that camera now? Come take a picture!" So i got a picture with Mayhem. It turned what was already an awesome experience into one of the best nights ever. I got a picture with Scotty Nguyen that night too =D

Page, Mir, Cabbage, Arlovski, The Diaz's, Evan Tanner, Diego, Ricco Rodriguez, and Tito.
Page and Mir were the coolest, but all were very nice. I got pics somewhere here of a few.
My best story was the Tito/Vitor Belfor fight, I was flying back to Sacramento from Vegas and ended up sitting in between Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz because they both couldnt fit with this really heavy lady in the middle.
Both were very cool for the hour flight, but Nick was more afraid of flying and zonked out right away, so I ended up talking to Nate who was only like 17 at the time.
Anyway, the fun part was when we landed, the flight attendant told nick who was on my left to put his tray table up. He wouldnt, he was OUT. And wouldnt wake up, so she starts getting mad. Then Nate just sucker punches Nick in the head and says
"Wake up ****er, we're landing".
The Stewardess mouth dropped and i said "It's ok, they're professional fighters and brothers"
She just walked away thinking we were some thugs.
Great times.

I was UFC 79 and was on the floor by the cage and I met
Jason Giambi- I know, isn't a fighter but really cool
Bruce Buffer- really cool guy, loves the sport
Stitch- one of my favorites, such a nice guy, he didn't have anywhere to go and he wasn't working the fight so he took pictures with my entire family numerous times. He also walked back and forth passed us through out the event and just had small talk about the fights.
Clay Guida- another favorite. The crowd was uneducated and really didn't know who he was so he pretty much walked around without a problem. I knew exactly who he was and I stopped him and asked if I could have a photo. He tried to give me a beer so I could watch the next fight with him. Crazy dude.
Matt Aroyyo- Very cocky, nice guy though but cocky.
Dan Henderson- Very cool dude. Very humble and down to Earth. He gave me a tee shirt. Turns out that the head of the Athletic department at Texas State, Dr. Randsone is a good friends with him and Randy and Lindland. Randsone told me that he is coming for AT work and since I work/go to school there, maybe I might get lucky
Stephan Bonnar- Very nice guy, extremely big. The first thing out of my mouth was "You're one big son of a bitch!" lol Was really nice. I asked him who he was going to fight next and he told me Hammill. This was before the web knew of anything and then we all know what happened.
Doug Evans- I met him after his fight with Mark Bochek. He had a nasty cut and I knew it hurt but he still wanted to talk to people
Roan Carneio- Cool dude, this was after his win with Tony DeSouza and he looked real confident. He wanted to talk about the two main events and that he wanted to fight Hughes since he lost
Steve Mazzaggatti- Always smiling, seemed real nice.
Herb Dean- Not smiling, had the present that he was there because he had too
Rampage- My niece was a big fan of his (because of his howl) and I asked if she could take a picture with him and he said "I'm sorry I'm real busy right now. I can't" Well, it is what it is. He was nice about but....yeah
Chuck Zitto- Wow, what a character! Really funny guy, a lot bigger in real life. Classy guy if you can believe that.
Urijah Faber- really cool and down to Earth. It was funny, he looked at me and said "you fight dont' you?" Blew my mind away LOL! I joked around with him and told him that I am going to get a few more fights and drop from 155 to 145 and whip his ass. He laughed about it, gave a "brother hug" and went on his way
Dana ****ing White- My favorite of all! Cool guy, asked what I liked in the event, what I ddin't like. He through out some possible fights in the future (all are happeneing so far). Asked what I was going to school for, when I told him he started talking about me becoming a cut man. LOL Crazy dude, my sister and niece was there to so he didn't swear at all. I promise. lol

Im a waiter at a steakhouse in California and I waited on Herb Dean once. He was on his cell phone the whole time and he smelled really bad. Good tipper too.
And about 6 years ago I met Tank Abbott in downtown L.A. He was pretty cool with the idea of taking a picture with me, but took off rather quickly after the pic.

My cousin works in a Hotel near the Excel Centre in London. During UFC 86, most of the fighters stayed there. He met Chuck Liddell who lost his room key! and Mario Yamasaki who complained about his room.

I get my ass kicked by a few on a daily basis, haha.
Matt and Nicky Serra are my homeboys. Two excellent teachers and friends. Luke Cummo is awesome, weird, but awesome. Been rolling with him for his next fight. Drago is mad gangsta, haha, but awesome too, possibly one of the funniest dudes I ever met....I once stuffed one of his takedowns...once. Aaron Riley came down to train with us for a few days, he's a beast, but one of the humblest, friendliest beasts you'll ever meet. I train/drink with a bunch of dudes that do the Ring of Combat thing, they're all great people too. I ran into Hendo at a ROC event, he's cool as hell, so humble (check out my "Ran into this guy last night" thread )
I've found that most fighters are incredibly down to earth, friendly dudes that simply treat people the way they wish to be treated.

I met matt hughes when he was champ and he seemed alot differant then the way they portay him on UF. I took a picture with him and we were talking about his upcoming fight with st pierre. and he did not sound very confident about the fight and kept referring to that he was getting old and he dosent know how many fights he has in him. I also was suprised that he seemed smaller then he looks on TV. all in all he was a down to earth guy.

GSP; he was so friendly I don't think he knew he was famous. Me and my buds talked to him for a good 20 minutes. of course it was about a month after the first serra fight, so he was a little humble.

When I saw you had a post here, I was hoping it would be Serra. If you don't mind me asking, what town were you in at the time? I grew up in Valley Stream and have some friends in and around East Meadow so I'll hear things from time to time.
Throw in another T-Bone guy...Mayhem...very cool, Rockem.

I'll never forget that day, and realized those two guys are good guys. I think their On Mic demeanor just rubs alot of people the wrong way, but both Nick and Nate are good kids
And they took time after that flight to visit my gym a few times weeks, months later and last month actually but i missed it, very very respectful even though we're a Machado BJJ school.
It was a good sucker punch too.
Nate had some balls, I'm a good sized dude and his left just went SWISH right past me onto the back of Nicks ear
He woke up then. All slobberig and ****.
Again good times.
