Rampage picked up again, round 2.
Looks like Rampage was picked up by the cops again last night.
Round 2 -- Cops Nab "Rampage" Again - TMZ.com
Quote:
Sources say last night an Irvine police car was waved down by people near the place Rampage was staying who said he was acting weird. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.
We're told Irvine cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation.
Cops won't officially confirm if it's a psychiatric hold.

Good call OBT, it doesn't sound like an arrest.
I just hope everything works out for him. The loss must have really hit him hard.

This is from Lt. Rick Handfield of the Irvine Police Department via MMAWeekly.com on the most recent situation:
Quote:
|
“We did go out to the residence where he was staying at 4:31 p.m. PT (on Wednesday in the city of Irvine, Calif.). We were asked to assist with him and make sure that he was safe and not a danger to himself or others. He was exhibiting some unusual behavior that his friends that were there felt concerned…. At the conclusion of our contact, we did detain him and take him to be seen by mental health professionals. We left him with the mental health professionals.”

So whats going to happen now? Is he going to be shot with a tranquilizer dart the next time he loses. They need to custom fit him a straight jacket for future losses.
I hope he recovers from himself soon.

I actually think that after all of this, he's going to be really focused, and concentrate on training. Maybe. Or we'll see him under the bridge chewing on a cabbage patch doll

Usually a mental health hold is @ minimum 72 hrs, then progresses to 14 day holds or 21 day holds last I checked out here.
Most of the time 72 hour holds are like people who check themselves in for detox type issues. Sometimes suicidal types also for 72.
He's gonna get evaled, and that's a good thing. Depending how much the health professionals think he is a danger to himself or others (5150 CA Welfare Institutions Health and Safety Code), then that will determine how long he's in.
Or he may willingly himself ask to stay 14 days, 21 days, etc. for counseling or other help he might need. That happens alot too.
I just hope he gets the help he needs. I rmemeber on the show him saying he took many anger management classes, maybe now this is just all secondary behaviors springing from being angry at himself or God knows what else.
Quinton is a good guy. I'm sure his mind will get the help it needs and he comes back strong.
