If Snipes can keep it standing he would beat Joe but if it goes to the ground the Demolition man is done. And I would definately pay to see that. I don't see how it would turn off viewers. An MMA fight is an MMA fight who cares who the fighters are as long as they keep it serious and don't screw around.

Well if it happens, I'm hoping FOX does it and UFC stays as far away from it as possible.

You know Joe is a TKD champion right? His BJJ skills are good too, snipes would be the underdog standing or on the ground in my opinion.

No worries, the original thread title isn't too clear what it is about anyway. I've merged both threads now

How would it ruin their careers? But I think that this thread should have been called Rogan vs snipes.

Okay, to save a lot of confusion this thread has been renamed. There were threads about this popping up everywhere, so hopefully the new title will put an end to that.

I don't know, i honestly think this would be a good match to see, there both in good shape and have good martial arts experience behind them, although if it did go to the ground, good ol joe may do the deed, i also can't see this effecting the UFC, i think people would pay too see this even if they weren't MMA fans becasue of Wesley being known in his movies and Joe rogan being known in fear factor

I don't have a problem with this matchup. It's not like neither of them has any MA experience. It would be a more entertaining fight than Micheal Westbrook Vs. Jarrod Bunch

man whats wrong with all u guys...
dont play with simon phoenix!
okay seriously i think he is too old
but go back 20 years ago....a fight with chuck norris vs van damme omg! this would be nice
i think wesley snipes is a F level fighter compare to them but maybe if hes still fast he can do something .....just one thing...wesley is around 210 pounds right?joe rogan looks to weigh around 180 so what will happen there? also i dunno munch about joe's skills but im sure he know more about mma than snipes, i never saw the demolition man on the ground :P maybe this would be a good fight to present right before an ufc event, ppl will prefer to see that than waiting for the first fight of the card

If one of them were to lose, then it would hurt. People would have less faith in snipes action movies...and well rogan....i don't know about him.

Considering that movies are not real, this match would have zero impact on Snipes' acting career. Snipes has acted in over 40 feature films. He is NOT hurting for film deals. His acting career is NOT on the downslide or off the charts AT ALL.
Whoever said that Snipes was not working in acting or desperate to make money is not looking at what is actually happening in Snipes' career. He has acted in ten films in the last five years, he has two films in post-production, and he has one film in pre-production. In addition to that he has credits for producing eleven fims.
And, it may surprise some here, but he has martial arts choreography credits in many of his films, including the Blade films. He also has like twenty noted TV appearances...
Oh, and Snipes is a 5th degree blackbelt in a few martial arts. In his BIo he states that he regularly practices capoeira, Brazilian martial arts... Also, his BIO states that he has mastered numerous martial arts forms including the Brazillian street fighting form capoeira.
His career is far from over or in threat of ending. A fight with Joe Rogan, and a loss, would have ZERO effect on his career.

I have to disagree with you here on a personal level, I love Snipes movies. Rising Sun, Demolition Man, US Marshals were cool, amongst others. The blade films (beyond #1) were too 'contrived? retarded?' (sorry, looking for a word here and I'm just not finding it) for me.
Anyway, I think the general public might enjoy seeing the fight, and I think the UFC would be wise to embrace it in some way shape or form. This would give the unknowing public another opportunity to see the sport we enjoy so much. If you could throw in a Van Damme or Segal (to bad Ahhhnold is like 60, eh?) it would be all the better. I'm sure there are a bunch of guys out there who'd love to see what their action hereos are really made of (or not). I know I would.

Snipes carerr definitly not "booming" like it used too.Sure he has had some very memorable roles(demolition man, blade, etc) but for the most part i think the highlight part of his carerr is long done.
Blade 3,the last and most recent movie i saw him in was kickass, but what else was he involved in before or afterwards? Very little....
30 years from now about all i'll remember him for is stuff like demolition man and the blade trilogy.Especially blade, those movies were pretty cool.

Nice. Rogan calling out Snipes during the UFC 56 broadcast. Asking him to sign the contract for a March fight.
