It was a lame reason to dismiss a fighter. Period.

I think a huge factor in all of this is that Rampage's rampage didn't hurt anybody.
I wish that were still true....

I'm sort of changing my stance on this. I do think that any newcomer needs to shut their trap and not comment on any veteran fighters problems. If it's not positive comments, then shut thy mouth. I think JT was given physical gifts, not mental gifts. Each of us can decide how out of balance those gifts are. I still say that Dana hates him, and has effectively used him as a whipping boy to make everyone else scared. Seems like scare tactics and a serious power trip. Surprise surprise. Think of some of the stupid comments coming from war machine. Was he fired? No, no he wasn't. Why? Guess. Further to this, war machine is a nobody. At the very least, JT was a finalist and possibly the season winner. He was screwed out of that, and he loses right after an illegal knee to his head. All I can say is, all the best for JT in the future.

JT got what he deserved. He was on double-secret blind probation. LOL, a little Animal House humor there, but it applies. The UFC let him back in, and then he lost an important fight. So, what does he do? He kicks Rampage Jackson while Rampage is down. What? Did JT think that Rampage had no friends in the UFC? Freedom of speech? WTH does THAT have to do with anything? Do some of you honestly believe that JT will take this to the Supreme Court and get his job back with the UFC? Seriously? That is just foolishness. JT showed that he does not think with his head at all.

Getting released these days doesn't necessarily mean they are out. Jake O'Brien was released then given a fight no more than a few months later.
