Chuck wants title shot next

Just to add something constructive I think Chuck looked good in the fight against Vandy. Not great, but at the same time Vandy is a really good opponent so it's hard to look too dominant. However looking at Chuck's 3 last fights he hasn't been impressive. He needs at least one great preformance to deserve a shot since LHW is just so stacked. Imo Chuck is 2 fights from a title fight. First Rashad, then a top 5er.

Has Wandy ever actually ever been dominated? He's been KOed I know that.
He had a fever in the Hendo fight. He scrapped it out with Mirko, But I don't remember him ever really being rolled on. It does indeed take a beast to do so.

Doesn't chuck have only 1 win out of three of his last fights? if so then rashad or machida is more deserving then the iceman.

I think Machida has earned it. Since Rashad is pitted against Chuck, if Chuck defeats the undefeated # 2 or 3 contender he would deserve it. I however wouldn't dispute Machida over Chuck. Machida is extremly overlooked in my opinion.

i agree I say give the shot to machida and if he wins the let chuck fight him or vice versa

Aww c'mon, I made a small remark that unfortunately got taken the wrong way. I thought it was pretty clear it wasn't bashing his post since if anything it was making his case stronger. It was ment as humorous but I guess with the hostile environment around here you gotta watch out about typing negative responses if you're not 100% serious. I'm sorry about that.

Just looking at their records I think a stronger case could be made for Machida. But if Thiago wins against Machida I think a title shot is perfectly reasonable. Problem for Thiago is that if Chuck wins as well he's probably first in line, so Thiago might have to fight one more time. I think it's close between the two who is the most worthy, but I think UFC will favor Chuck for sure.

Why wouldn't they favour the guy who has beat top 5 competition in his division, Machida and Silva should in my opinion have to beat someone like Chuck or Wanderlei, before they can get in line first.

With that said I wouldn't be angry if Machida got a shot, but Silva isn't there yet.

You're talking about Chuck here right? Well if we go by the FF rankings Chuck has only beat one top 5 LHW (Wandy). Rashad isn't top 5 and if Chuck wins the fight against Rashad he'll still be 2-2 in his last 4 fights (one of his losts coming against a less than stellar fighter). So while Chuch has fought some tough opponents he hasn't fought them well recently.

If Machida wins againt Silva he's 6-0 in the UFC, I think that makes him more worthy than Chuck. I agree him not fighting a top 5 LHW is a problem, but it's also hard for him when he's never matched against one.

If Silva beats Machida he has beaten a top 5 LHW and he's 5-0 in the UFC. I definately think that can compare with Chuck recently mediocre record.

But when it all comes down I think Dana wants Chuck to fight for the title. The right thing to do would have been to match Machida against Chuck to find out who the #1 contender really is, but I think Dana didn't like the risk of Chuck getting his ass handed to him so he played it safe. Edit: I'm not saying Chuck will dominate Rashad though, I think Rashad is an underdog but has a decent chance.
