Franklin vs Loiseau
Do you think Franklin will try standing with Loiseau or will he go straight for the take down and count on Loiseau giving him his back like Loiseau has done in his last two fights?
If Loiseau gives his back will Franklin be able to take advatage of it unlike Loiseau's two previous opponents?
Is this fight a definite yet?

Interesting observation with David giving his back these last two fights. As well rounded as Rich is, he loves to let his hands go, especially coming off of a KO (although I'm sure he knows there's a difference between Quarry and The Crow)
I think Rich is gonna let the hands go.

franklin will go for the ko
I have to agree franklin definitely has the ko power although the crow can give one hell of a fight. i think we will see some stand up and some ground but i think franklin will take it on the standup crow can get a little hap hazard at times and franklin will capitalize with a great counter and the crow will go to sleep
just my thoughts but anything can happen in the ufc

ive been waiting for this fight to happen for so long, i personally think itll be one of the best standup fights ever... i know the crow wont goto the ground, and i think franklin COULD, but i tend to think he will stand too

I think that Loiseau's kicking abilities will stuff Franklin's striking game. I give it a even 50-50 on this one. Both are A+ at 185 for striking.

i agree, and as ive said i think itll be an amazing standup war, but if im franklin i take it to the ground and make it a boring fight (which he wont do) because i think then he is assured a win, because he is way ahead on the ground, but he doesnt like to do boring fights, so itll be great

Franklin does seem to have a "weak chin". That punch from Tanner that brought him down didn't look that impressive.
IIRC, when Franklin fought Rivera, it looked like Franklin was the one avoiding the stand-up fight.
If Franklin goes to ground it would seem to be almost a sure thing that he would at least get a decision over Loiseau but if he goes stand-up its an anything could happen.
Franklin isn't stupid, he would go for the more sure thing wouldn't he????

I don't see Rich wanting to fight a ground game against anyone. He loves to throw hands possibly more than anyone in the UFC. Even with a guy like Quarry (who was known for his punches) Rich stood and traded. If he can successfully contend with David's kicks then I think Rich wins this without too much hassle. But if he does take a punch and gets knocked down he better watch out. The Crow can do magic with those elbows.

Yeah, if Rich takes it to the ground, he'll get elbowed into next week. Keep it standing Rich.

Don't be surprised to see Rich submit The Crow.

Agreed, I think Rich will trade but if it winds up on the ground, top or bottom, I think Franklin will submit him.

Think I wonder is how good is Rich's sprawl. I agree that if it hits the ground he could be subing the Crow, but If I were Rich I would want to keep it standing just to avoid those elbows completly. So I hope that we get to see if Rich has the takedown defense to back up his striking.

frankins great in the clinch but he gets caught on the break by a quick right elbow he my want to take it to the ground.

It's funny I have never been overly impressed with Franklin in the clinch yet some people seem to think he is great there. It has always seemed to me that Rich's weakness is the clinch. He didn't look good against Rivera, the only reason he was able to do the damage he did was because Rivera was doing much worse. Jorge wasn't even trying to defend most of the punches.
As for the elbows I am sure that Rich dosn't want to get hit in the head standing up but I don't see the Crow ending it from there. They do cut but the way he throws them they hit to the side of the head and it will take a very deap cut for the Doctors to end it there. And I have never in my life seen someone knocked out by a standing elbow.

I think if Rich gets inside the the crow can't kick then the stand up is Richs if it gos to the ground it will be a sub by Rich I am pretty sure Rich will win this one but not sure how..
If you take the crow down then the elbows are a factor so i don't know if going to the ground is a good thing. I'm not sure of a good game plan for this one

I was assuming if it went to ground Franklin would be the one on top delivering the fists and elbows.

I think David is going to finally give Rich a tough fight but after a valiant effort the belt is staying with Rich and he will break the MW curse.
