Nick Diaz Vs. Matt Hughes
That would be the best fight ever. and plus Nick Diaz deserves it. i would also like to see Franklin beat the hell out of Baroni.

Let's see, Karo beat Nick Diaz, so Nick has somehow won the right to go ahead of Karo for a shot at the title?
Don't get me wrong, I like Diaz and think he's a great fighter, but the winner of Georges St. Pierre/ Frank Trigg and Karo should be next in line. In my opinion, the rankings should be:
Hughes
GSP
Karo
Diaz/Trigg - hmmm... That would be a good fight!
(obviously, if Trigg beats GSP in UFC 54, my rankings will change)

Hey, I say Karo first in line. Hands down, GSP has already fought Matt and lost. He had his shot, not to say he doesn't deserve another, just not right now. Karo beat Diaz, so I would have to say that Karo goes next for the title. I'm sure Diaz will get his shot also, I just don't think it should be before a guy that beat him. Or do I think a guy who already blew his shot should get to reload and try again. Not this soon!!!!!!!!

The only problem is that GSP beat Karo. How do you put Karo above GSP?

And I would like to see Hughes pick up Nicks skinny ass and drop him on his head, or forcefully knock him out(or drop him like a bad habit!) I haven't lided Diaz since his fight with Lawler. Lawler disappointed me bu not knocking him out.

So the fact that Diaz beat Lawler at his own game, stand up, and KTFO'd him means that you don't like Diaz? That's a little confusing to me.
And for those who say that since Karo beat Diaz he should go to the top, let's not forget that was not a clear cut decision. There are many out there who think Diaz won that fight. This was made evident by the fact that it was a split decision. If Karo had won by submission, something that he is apparently no longer capable of, or even by unanimous decision that would be a different story. But he didn't. I say let Diaz and Karo fight again and the winner of that fight gets a shot.

OK, I didn't say Diaz was a bad fighter. I just don't really like Diaz because he talks a lot of smack. He does deserve respect because of what hes accomplished so far and stuff, I am just saying that I want someone to drop him when he has his hands down, really. I just want to see him lose is what I'm sayin'. I guess it's better when its in the octagon. In my opinion, Diaz is just too new to the UFC to start putting out the more experienced fighters. But I just might be hatin'.I really don't like how he fixes up his hair after a win and stuff.

I'd take Hughes against either of them. Diaz would need to land a very lucky hook to beat Hughes...This isn't Koji Oishi we are talking about here.
I think GSP is the best runner up.

i train at cesar graice's in pleasant hill,ca .an i have had the pleasure of training with nick and his brother nate and becoming friends with him . no one trains harder and puts more soul into training then nick . so thats why he has so much confidence in fighting. its all he does eat ,sleeps, trains. karo didnt look like he won the fight .1st & 2nd round was all nick 3rd was a question. so if anything they should fight again and winner fight hughs . cause scince thare fight who has won better nick by kos not all decisions like karo . so by that i think nick would give hughs a better run for the money.

I appreciate you responding. I still think Nick talks too much, but I guess if I was in his position I guess I would be talkin a little too. I play basketball, and sometimes when it gets rough I start talkin some also. I can imagine being in a UFC fight and doing it.(Cmon, I know fights are way more intense and better than basketball! But Im a girl, so that sport's shot down!) But really, the hair thing? And does anyone know why and how Nick got into fighting? He just seems like a punk to me, but I guess I dont know him personally. So you train with him, eh? Do you have hopes of going into the UFC?Thats cool.

You are always going to have people that have a bit of a macho attitude in the cage who are some of the most down to earth people you could ever meet, just putting on a bit of a show.. keep that in mind

Well hopefully you make it. The hair thing Im talking about is how he tries to fix it after the fight if he won.Im 14 years old(almost 15) and am from Defuniak Springs, FL. Yeah, it probably sounds like I shouldn't be into this stuff and Im a wimpy little girl, but I love mma. I have all the dvds and just love it.If you knew me, it wouldnt be much of a surprise.I guess its because Ive been in my share of fights with people(mainly guys about 5 years older than me-these redneck punks who pick on and brag about beating up ladies, even though I knocked one skinny dude out...yeah, its true... but back to the thread.Sorry for that long typing, but I felt I had to try to let you know about me. Well, I guess I answered that.Dont your wife or whatever help you with the kids? or are you single? if youre single w/ kids, the ufc is quite an accomplishment. Hey, dont get down. 24 is stil young!

It's cool to know that you have trained with with Diaz and can give us some insight into his work ethics and personallity. The side of Nick that we get to see purely as spectators isn't always the full picture. I have always thought he was a little overconfident. I wasn't sure if his KO of Lawler was just luck and the Oishi fight doesn't really prove anything. The best solution like you said is to have them fight for a title shot. GSP will get another chance eventually.

Those fights look good. That Freedom Fight thing looks cool, but im surprised to know GSP isnt in it and stuff. The UFC David Terrel fight looks interesting. I was surprised to see Bobby Southworth on there, too. And the Bill Mahood fight also looks cool. Man, there are a lot of Gracies out there! Some need to come into the UFC.That would be cool.Another Royce Gracie would be awesome! And me fighting would be nice, but it would never measure up to guys getting in there and bangin, as much as I hate to say it. It isnt exactly a respected sport, female fighting. Although I personally believe I can change the sport. But Ill just do basketball.Brittany Lewis.Dont forget that name, youll be seing me on espn one day and Ill be as popular as MJ. Or I might just persue fighting very soon. Ill be well known either way, not because i want fame, but I just want to be the best. And if Im gonna do anything, whether it be school or anything others do, Im gonna work the hardest and be the best. Its a waste of time to me if greatness and success doesnt come because you were just good enough to compete. I say train the hardest and be the best if your gonna commit some time to it!

I think I've said it once before, welterweight is gonna be where it's at for a while. The Liddell/Horn fight will interesting and as well as Arlovski/Mir... what else do we have to look forward to, the welterweights. I love Hughes, i think it's obvious to everyone he's a great fighter. Lots of contenders too... GSP is great, i don't care if he lost to Hughes... many have before. I like Parisyan too, he wins by decision mostly but still a good fighter. Perhaps Parisyan and Diaz should go at it again... lots of controversy about that (I like Diaz too, like i said... exciting class). Trigg, meh... he lost twice to the same guy the same way. Give him some time, maybe... but not right now.
