Diego vs....
Diego is rumored on mmaweekly to be fighting at 58.
It does not say against who but this fight lines him up with GSP and BJ since they are fighting each other that night. Anyone think they are going to throw Diego to the loser of GSP / Penn?
If that happens, the nightmare is officially over.

I don't think they will throw him to the wolves yet. I think they want to build him up more. He will get a can for this fight since he beat Diaz. Someone was saying Goulet, but he is fighting on UFN 3. So that is doubtful. It is going to be a Canadian though. At least that is the theme.

It's either going to be sherk or a 'nobody'.

it would be easier for Diego if it was a nobody I think sherk will is a better fighter all around and will give him his first lose if they fight

Is there not anyone that thinks he has some proficient skills? He may not be the greatest but what about evolution? He can possibly turn into something great you never know, however, if thrown into a fight with GSP......well, its gonna look weird seeing a 1 (16-0-0)

I have done my share of Diego bashing. But I do respect his skills. He is a proficient wrestler without a doubt but he needs work.
He is not ready for the top 3 guys yet, maybe not even top 5. By that I'm saying that Hughes, Georges, BJ, Sherk, and Trigg would all put a beatdown on Diego. I'm not saying he could never beat these guys but as he stands right now.
He is one dimensional compared to these guys. He has potential but receives far too much praise. There is no reason to rush him like they did with Quarry. Now a lot of people think Nate is a joke. Which sucks because he isn't. He just got convinced that he was ready for a shot but the only reason they put him in with Rich was because the division is barren and the two top fighters were already matched up.

I read places that he might face Matt Serra. That will be a war if it happens.

Wow a Diego thread on the second page and nothing from Subgenius yet....I'm shocked...shocked we haven't seen something from him about how Diego is the best of all time and that nobody could beat him not even Fedor

This year the UFC is getting good fights.....I will be ordering some PPV now instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD.

Once the UFC starts charging $50 for PPV's I'll be doing the opposite.

in terms of serra vs diego .... i would bet alot that diego wins be decision 30 to 27... serra never quits, but doesnt seem to do enough to win alot of his fights....
and the DVDs are 20 bucks, why not just throw another 15 and get it live and tape it or something?

He is worried about it becoming much more. They jacked up the price of 57. And most of us are hoping that they don't keep going higher.

That's what I am hoping does not happen. If it gets like boxing is then pretty soon it's just going to be one really good fight and the undercard will be really weak and the PPV will still be $50. Something this poor boy won't be able to afford. Especially since they are every month now.

Yeah 50 bucks a month is beyond me. I could do 35 but that would be hard for once a month.
I think that if the UFC wants more money they just have to focuse on sponsering more stuff rather than charging the fans more to watch it. I can see the price of tickets going up but increasing PPV prices will cost the UFC more money than it will get them.
