I was impressed by Leben as well. I picked Jorge to win. Leben vs. Tanner would be great but Leben has said he wouldn't fight him so that kind of sucks. I'm sure the UFC could persuade him to change his mind though.

Baroni expressed interest in fighting again in the UFC. Leben vs Baroni or Leven vs Tanner would be a great addition to any card.

why did leben say he wouldnt fight tanner?? it would be great to see tanner get back into action since his last 2 losses were because of cuts...
i did hear the stuff with him and baroni, personally i think leben would ruin good ol phil at this point..

I can't remember where I heard it. Maybe on his audio interview on ufc's website. But they are just really good friends so I'm sure that would be kind of tough to have the intentions to hand his teammate (former teammate?) his third loss in a row. I definitely want to see Tanner get back on the winning track though.
I agree that Leben would take Phil out. I used to think differently but recently I've changed my opinion about Chris.

I just don't want to see Leben rushed. He seems to have the right mentality as far as it's not when you get there, but how long you stay when you're there. As far as which fights, I don't think Tanner yet, but I could see him taking out Baroni. That would really be a nice little notch on the belt.

i read something about bj penn getting in a fight with drunk baroni who was yelling at some media lady... before that (from what i read) baroni got in lebens face and was screaming at him or something..... regardless, leben has looked great, and i almost think he is beyond an over the hill baroni... thats true about tanner though.. hmm... maybe a salavery or terrell next?

One of my dream fights for 2006 would be Leben/Baroni. I don't really like either, but they would be swinging. And both can take a punch too. I wouldn't cheer for either. I would just sit back and enjoy the action.
I also want to see the Leben/Swick rematch, but that might be taking a step down for Leben at this point. If Swick would stay healthy, he would be on par with Leben. But as of now, he is a step or two behind as far as competition goes. I would still love to see the rematch though.

Leben could get maybe recover his loss from Koscheck, then I think he should start worrying about the title shot more.
Nevermind, I just remembered that they are different weight classes now.

I'd love Leben v Baroni with Leben killing the so called bad ass.
I'd like to see him against Marquardt or Salavarry. Both those guys have great ground games and it would be intersting to see how Leben does against them.

leben has potential to beat anyone if they want to stand up with him. I only see him having trouble with strong wrestlers, lucky for him none are in his weight class. Does anyone have info on akc?
