Default Tanner vs. Horn

This fight is rumored on MMAweekly for UFC 59. What do you guys think? I think it will be a great fight and it will be nice to see Tanner back in action after a 2 fight losing streak.

Unparalleled awesomeness. Could be a amazing fight. Could be a great ground fight.

Only problem is picking who to root for. Or who to bet on.

Im a big Evan Tanner mark, and would love to see him fight again. I think he could take Gumby, and itll be nice to see him winning in the octagon again.
I was wondering what ever happened to Tanner just the other day, so its just Dana reading my mind once again!

You couldn't have been wondering what happened to tanner for too long. He just had a fight a few months ago and had his face almost cut in half by the crow's elbows. You don't just fight next week when that happens to you.

True, but this is Evan "Cornrows of Power" Tanner we are talking about. That, and my short term memory sucks

Tanner is a good fighter and he knows how to finish someone in the guard or he knows how to advance position in the guard. Gumby is a dangerous submisson wrestler but i think tanner is just as dangerous in gumbys guard. Before losing to Dave, he was all over David trying to submit him, David just knew how to stop the chokes safely. Good match-up to see tho.

this ought to be a really good grappling match. Horn has the edge on the ground but i think Evan is stronger and his ground a pound might get him the win. to close for me to bet on.

ya, i really wouldnt know who to bet on for this matchup....but id love to see tanner on a winning streak again. id like to see him fight both the crow and rich again, since the fights ended with stopages due to cuts. id like to see a rematch for both with a definative clear cut "you lost" for someone, not just for a cut. and yes, i know that rich would have won unanimously if it had went the distance also, still like to see it again...

The fight with rich got stoped cause Evan was just taking a beating. Both tanners last fights were really clear cut in who the winner was. Tanner was lucky one of the crow's elbows didn't knock him out.

Rich has some other things to do before evan has a rematch.

ya, i know that the winner was pretty obvious...but what i meant was id like to see a rematch to both with it either going the distance or by ko, who ever wins and not by a doc stopage for cuts is all.

I'm soo excited about going to this event if this gets put on the card! I don't know who to cheer for though. Both guys are awesome! I'll cheer for Tanner because if he losses, he'll probably be "exited" by Zuffa.

This will be a good fight. Both these guys have tried to improve their hands. Tanner standing with Rich and getting banged up and Horn doing the same with Chuck.

Alright! AWESOMENESS. I've been wondering who they'd line Tanner up with next and with Randy gone now ET might be my fave guy in the ufc.
Good to see him gettin some love on the board too... i'd love to see him/rich II but Rich definitely has a deserving opponent at UFC 58 and Tanner does need to get a winning streak going again here... AWESOME NEWS THOUGH. Woohooo :sport-smi

As long as tanner leaves the cornrow in the field this time. He looked really old and weird that fight.

Good deal. This should be a great fight, they're both strong on the ground.

Anyone think that Horn will try to utilize all the striking he trained for against Liddell? He stood and took a beatin and threw good punches, just not enough power for LHW. Maybe we'll see a two sided Horn.

Still... too hard to pick.

this could really go either way... as always in horns fights, he CAN beat anyone at any point... at the same time it could be like the prangly fight where he doesnt show much at all... i think tanner has to win so illgo with him!

I like Tanner, but I think that Gumby will win this match.
