Diego Bashing........
I know theres probably like 20 threads about people hating him but.........
Whys everyone slamming Diego all the time ? Its not like they are giving the guy a title shot he don't deserve or nothing he is just fighting fights he is given and so far he has won them all............Even if some think he isn't proven that he is a higher level fighter who says he has to make a jump up and take on the likes of a GSP, ect..... Right now he's still very young and frankly could stay in the lower ranks and keep fighting 20-11 ranked fighters for a while longer before he makes that kind of jump.
After all if he is unproven in your eyes then he don't belong in the cage with the higher level guys and that would be a step back for those fighters and unfair to them.
So leave Diego alone and let the kid fight his fights and learn and stop trying to get him thrown to lions to be beaten down or broken or worse if he is so unproven.

I think the bashing comes more from his behavior and attitude on the show rather than his ability. He ran through all his competition on the show and a lot of us still don't like him. He has had one significant fight that he got a decison on but other than that he has not fought anyone of merit.
Mostly I can't stand how corny he is with the nightmare stuff and the evil faces and dumb speaches in interviews. He just comes off as a tool. You don't see nearly as much hatred for Forrest or Bonnar because people generally liked them on the show. Sanchez earned more of my respect for the way he fought Diaz but I still don't like him.

If they put a muzzle on him I probably wouldn't mind him that much.

i agree with jonny on that one...a muzzle would do wonders for the kids public relations.
honestly, the guy has some skill, thats been shown. hes strong, quick, agile, knows what hes doing on the ground, can take some punishment, has good submission and sub defense, and he can somewhat throw some leather around but havent seen that much of it yet. the problem with him is that hes a total chode. every time he opens his mouth something retarded comes out that makes him look like some loon. if hed calm his "inner being" channeling self down and cut out some of the bs, more people would warm to him im thinking. till he stops acting like he's half crazy, i dont think peoples opinions of him will go up much...

I'm far from a fan of Diego Sanchez, but he is an awesome fighter and will someday wear gold in the UFC....probably within a year or two.
I honestly don't know why I don't like the guy much. He is a solid ground fighter, and I really like that style. I guess I don't like him much because I was a big fan of Nick Diaz. That kinda made me cheer against him somewhat.
I knew Diego was a good fighter, but he really showed me something when he beat Nick Diaz. He was great on the ground the entire fight, and that impressed me a lot.
I think Diego could easily be right there in the group behind Hughes, Penn, and GSP. After those big three, it's probably a group of Diego, Karo, and Sean Sherk. The sky is the limit for Diego, and he will go a long way in the UFC if he keeps improving.
He still has a lot of fighting to do in his career.
I'm still not a huge fan though. :/

I think that is it essentially. If Diego Sanchez lost a match, then people would not notice him. While he is undefeated, then people will attack his character. Usually people talk about things that Sanchez has said, but when pressed have diffuculty providing details. Or they take things that Sanchez said, which most fighters say, and made it out to be that he is arrogant. Meanwhile Suasage Tits says that he is his own best hero and people think that it is funny (LOL, it is, but the point is the same).

Diego just runs his mouth calling himself the uncrowned champion and how hes gonna beat everyone at 170. His cockyness will continue to grow as long as they keep protecting him. The guy is ranked in the top 10 in the world by most but the only decent win he has is over Diaz. Put him up againt BJ, GSP, Hughes, or even Karo I dont think hed last. The kid has yet to be tested by someone with more ability than him. I mean honestly the way Burkman is on a role, I can see him running through Diego just like he did Fickett

Heres another reason people dont like Diego. Hes undefeated and runs his mouth about how hes the man when his 14 opponents have a combined record of 131-123-5 with only half of them having winning records. Dont believe me, check the site and do the math! Diego has a long way to go but u cant say hes the man when the best figter hes founght is 11-5 with a career hightlight win of only Robbie Lawler (not taking anything away from Lawler)

Well I do think that Diego thinks pretty highly of himself. That's fine. I just wish I didn't have to hear him talk. And I'm a big Diego hater but you can't discredit him for beating Diaz. Diaz is a badass whether some people believe it or not. Two of his fights were just about as close as they come and he should have won the Riggs fight. And he was just outwrestled by Diego because he was trying to beat him at his own game.

All fighters think or say stuff like that...
Why is Diego Sanchez any different? Is it that he is unbeaten, maybe?

We went through this before. Many of the favorite best fighters out there could not stand up to the scrutiny of the math and their W-L records. Again, it comes down to jealousy over being undefeated.
