I got ahold of my mother and she said I had 6 months service which = 40 hours & 2 years probation I got off at 14.

Seems a little harsh Venture ... I got arrested and charged with theft over $5000 , an indictable offense in Canada.Equivalent to GTA in the US. I spent the long weekend in juvenile jail (got arrested fri. no court till tues.) got 80 community hours and no probation. I was 16 with a few priors , but just mischief.

I was a Probation Agent in SC for six years. I have heard the "never want to see the judge again" comment many times. Some people think that 15 minutes in front of a judge will set somebody straight, but the proof is what they do later down the line when faced with making either a good or bad decision. It will be interesting to see if Jackson completes his three years successfully or violates his probation. One thing that is promising about Jackson is that he actually DID his community service, so maybe there is hope. I wonder if the sentence had any special conditions?
