I really enjoy watching Diaz fight. I hope he wins this fight so I can see more of it.
Looks like diaz is going to go against sherk in UFC 59 now. It also looks like its going to be diaz's 3rd loss in a row in the ufc...wonder what they will do with him after that?
I just finished watching a sherk fight and a highligh video since i posted the above, and i give diaz next to no chance to beating sherk if sherk comes in fighting condition and ready for this fight. i just dont see anyway for him to lose to diaz after seeing diaz's last two fights.....

Nick Diaz...are you talking about that scrub they fed to Diego Sanchez?!Originally Posted by Jras0001

Glad to see Tanner is still in the UFC that will be a good match! I think Sherk will beat Diaz as well, but Diaz REALLY needs to win this fight!

Diaz is really going to need to win this fight. he is easily in one of the more stacked divisions and he is losing ground fast to other fighters. should Diaz lose he does have one thing going for him, he is a tough fighter who is going to benefit from the UFC putting on so many events, both PPV and television. i think he will be the guy who gets to be the first fight for alot of UFC newbs.
hahaha... ugh. ummm i dunno man, all of sherks wins are over no names, his last fight he absolutely got creamed.... he is definently going to be a pretty big underdog in this fight....Originally Posted by Jras0001
Nah, I was talking to the guy who called Diaz a bum. I'm excited to see this fight live. I'll cheer for Nick.Originally Posted by Jras0001
ya, i for one am really looking forward to this fight...i think it has the chance to be a pretty good fight
It won't be long before getting a victory over Nick Diaz means nothing. There is only so many times they can feed that scrub to guys like Diego to make them look better.
Lets not waste sherk's time please. Give him a formidable opponent!

hey i dont know ,i like nick by submission because shaw didnt look that hot agaist GSP even thou he is at the top of the food chartOriginally Posted by Jras0001
If Diaz looses this one he should go back to the minor leagues and improve his game. The guy has potential, but has not finnished a fight in a long time.
i cant tell if your joking or not, you are aware sherk is the underdog for this fight??Originally Posted by Grave

Now I know those are 2 out of the top 3 WW (BJ and GSP will decide #2), but there still bad losses. I think that it is a pick'em fight. Diaz does need to prove something here, but lets all be realistic and not give the guy his do just because you may hate how cocky he is or that you love another fighter so much (AHEM *Diego* AHEM)

I agree. Nick Diaz has lost to Sanchez and Riggs. One is an up-and-coming young fighter. The other is a 300 pound man in the body of a 170-200 pound man, LOL. J/K I do like the Diesel, but I think that the number 185 or 205 should come up in his future fights. Seriously, Riggs fought well against Diaz, but I think that Nick Diaz ought to have fought better and won that fight. The fight with Sanchez was closer. However, I still think that Sanchez would beat Diaz in any Sanchez-Diaz 2 rematch.Originally Posted by The_Iceman

You mean two fights that he arguably won? Both are controversial decisions. I think Pride rules where more emphasis is put on the person who is trying to finish the fight, Diaz would've won both. UFC, control seems to be the main thing they look for, and that's why he lost. However, it's not like he was outmatched in either fight.Originally Posted by Jras0001
No offense, but you could make that argument to each and every fight in the UFC. If you go by Pride rules, then Wes Sims in his first fight with Mir probably would've stomped the sh*t out of him when he had him against the cage.Originally Posted by mepersoner
But I do agree that his last two fights are debatable, especially the Riggs decision.

the diaz / riggs fight was a lot closer, but riggs clearly won that fight. diaz won the first round no doubt, but thats it. the majority of the fighting in the second and third round was stand up and riggs clearly won the standup of the fight. diaz didnt take him down in the later part of the fight and didnt come close to hurting riggs again after the first round. riggs won that fight 2 rounds to 1 easily.
you can say "if he had been fighting there, or if he had been fightng here...." he would have won, but he wasnt, he was fighting in the UFC and he was beaten in both matches hands down.
is everything hands down????Originally Posted by Jras0001
sherk beating diaz hands down, riggs beating diaz hands down, i dunno about either
one judge had the match 30 to 27 clearly showing that their was bias against diaz. it was a very very close fight, nothing wrong with saying that... no one clearly had to win, i thought it was a draw if anything...
