Vitor Belfort's Sister
On UFC 46, it says Vitor Belfort's sister is missing in Brazil. Was she ever found?

Nope . . .
Until then, I think he'll never be the same fighter.

I don't get why people say Vitor will never be the same fighter. Did he fight poorly at some point or something? Only against Randy, just like the first time when he was "old Vitor." Randy just had Vitor's number. The only fight I can think of really like that, is the one versus Overeem where Vitor gassed first. Otherwise, even in his losses, Vitor has continued to be a tremendous fighter.

I guess his fight with Overeem painted the "Old Vitor" and "New Vitor" image in my mind. He did look good against Rea, but Rea isn't a world class fighter.
I'm probably the biggest Belfort fan here and it makes sad saying that. I'll always support him, but he's got to change some major things in his game to become an actually player in this sport and not a gatekeeper.
I think Vitor can do that considering how young he is. He needs to go to a good camp, like Chute Box, and get mentally perpared. I think 2006 will be a great set up year for Vitor and then 2007 will be his break out year.

Man I sure hope so. Any idea who/when he fights next? He's one of my top 3/4 favorites.. I guess 3 now with randy retired. He's the man, I wanna see him on top of the mma world. His is young too, isn't he Tito's age? give or take?

Starting in 2002 where people seem to think Vitor stopped being Vitor, he fought Chuck... and did very well in a war. Some people think he won because he landed more punches, but he was knocked down towards the end, so Chuck landed the more devatasting punches. Not a bad fight or anything, a good war with Chuck that lasted to decision (Chuck's last fight to last until decision actually, and since then only his fight against Jeremy Horn has gone that long).
Beats Marvin Eastman via brutal cut.
Beats Couture via brutal cut.
Loses to Couture after 3 rounds of taking a beating.
Fights Tito in a war. Arguably won, but officially lost via split decision.
Loses to Overeem via Guillotine in his only submission loss. Think that's bad? A majority of Overeem's wins come via submission, none of his losses come from submissions - that should tell you something about his sub skills - underrated.
Beats Antony Rea by KO.
Point is, Vitor is hardly done. Besides his Overeem fight, I haven't seen him fight a bad fight. One bad fight doesn't make a bad fighter, see Silva/Arona 1 for details.
The only thing Vitor has to change is he has to be more willing to trade (he wasn't even willing to let loose with Rea I thought) and he needs to transition between his ground game and stand-up game more, rather than keeping them seemingly separate.

Dude, he knocked out Marvin Eastman. That huge gash was a result from it.

As you may see by my handle and my avatar, I'm a big Vitor fan. I just love the explosion of his fists and how he could finish a fight in a matter of seconds. The thing is though, he has to get better at the grappling and condtioning. In the 3rd Couture fight, Randy was taking him down easily in the 2nd and 3rd rounds because Viotr had nothing left in the tank. He has to be better at taking opponents down and keeping them down. Could you imagine how esplosive he could be on the top if he had some wrestling training. I hope Vitor comes back to the UFC and get a another shot at Chuck. That would be a fun one to watch!
GO BABALU!
