UFC 58 = card of the year
This is the card of the year if you like Ko's, Swick Vigenault = 2 heavy punchers going to war.
Hominick vs Edwards= 2 skilled stand up gus also going to war
Penn vs St. Pierre= all around skill by both fighters could see a Ko
Sanchez vs Alessio= Diego will KO whenever he wants
Loiseau vs Franklin= arguably the 2 best stand up fighters in the 185 weightclass in the world.
Looks like out of the 9 fights atleast 4 KOs

This is an intriguing card. I'm just really dying to see St. Pierre and Penn though.
Diego does not KO though. It's possible he will get a TKO but he doesn't have the standup. I would say his standup is terrible actually. Other than that though I agree this will be an exciting card. Best of the year though? Well I don't know since it's February. Best so far this year? Very possible.

this very well could be card of the year.Franklin vs Loiseau and penn vs St. Pierre will be outstanding matches, and Marquardt vs Doerkson should be great too. I think Diego will ground n pound alessio but that match might go into the 2nd round. Edwards will be too much for Hominick, yves can end that fight whenever he wants to!!
Which 4 matches will "definately" be on the PPV?
Franklin vs Loiseau
Penn vs St. Pierre
Sanchez vs Alessio
Marquardt vs Doerkson ?

i agree, it could be the card of the year, but we are only on the march show of a very busy year...so im still hoping that the upcoming shows will fill out to at least rival this one. i mean, we still have the winner of gsp / penn vs. hughes, we have the light weights back, more heavy weights coming in due to tuf 3 i believe, shamrock vs ortiz II, griffon vs. ortiz, gracie vs. hughes, and a lot more im sure...i think there is potential for there to be several cards this year that could go as "card of the year"....just havent gotten to them yet

Yeah....I'm really liking the looks of this one a lot!
I thinking that I'm gonna have to PPV it, even though no one I know around here are MMA fans....which means that I'll be watching it with my wife and my dogs. LOL
Still....several of these have "Fight of the Year" potential :sport-smi and I don't think that I can wait around several months for the replays!

Well i'm all i'm really SUPER intrigued by is Penn/gsp but rich/the crow will be very interesting and I'm excited to see swick fight as well as Marquardt vs Doerkson AND the return of yves.
I'm lookin no farther than April though as far as other great cards... Tito/forrest should be awesome and I'm just as or more pumped to see Evan back in the cage vs Horn... that really intrigues. Tanner NEEDS the W. I guess we'll see how it fills out. And then of course Hughes vs BJ or gsp II.
But 58 should be great, i def think the card is deeper than 57... but randy/chuck and the return of Mir were all I needed last month to be dying to see it.
Is it gonna be back to "regular price" ??
Or still ''randy/chuck priced'' ? :sport-smi
