Andrei Arlovski vs Fedor Emalienenko
This next rematch for the UFC heavyweight title is a waste of time. We'll probably see the same result. Sorry Tim, but you're just not a fighter with much intensity. You're just BIG!
What I, and many others would love to see more than any other fight is to put the UFC's Russian Heavyweight Champ against Pride's Russian Heavyweight Champ.
There simply isn't much heavyweight competition for the UFC champ, but Fedor does have quite a bit in Pride and has dominated all of it, including beating Brazil's "best" -Nogiera- 3 times (he was dominating the second match too before the head clash stopped the fight) and even quickly taking out his last HUGE opponent during the side-show match-up.
FEDOR IS THE MAN! Arlovski needs a true test and this would be the best scenario.
The UFC and Pride need to work out showcasing their fighters against each other again like they did before. This time with the heavyweights!

Everybody would love to see inter-organizational bouts. Unfortunately, there is enough red tape in the way to choke a donkey. Maybe one day...
I wouldnt look past Timmy, esp if your name is Arlovski. AA is the better fighter, no doubt, but Timmy is no joke. The world (and AAs grillbone) may get shocked. I actually hope it does, to shake up the HW div a little. I hope he same happens to the Russian cyborg for the same reason.

Actually, AA hails out of Chicago nowadays...but he's originally from Belarus. I think any of Pride's top heavies would be a good test for AA. I think Fedor would knock him through the pavement right now. Tim's going to get another can opened on him...no doubt about it...unless he catches him with a phantom punch or something. The UFC needs to get some good heavies to make the division competitive again. There's nobody there for AA right now.

Me2! That would be awesome, for me, LOL. Right now I am a serious Vera fan. But, that is because he comes from the same home town as me... Norfolk, VA. But, I love to watch this guy fight, and I love his post-match talk. He is actually a funny guy. Joe Rogan looks like he has a fun time interviewing Brandon.

I actually think that Fedor is unbeatable. I know that no one person is unbeatable, but Fedor seems to come fairly close. I do not honestly see anyone in PRIDE of the UFC defeating him. He may be one of those guys that retires undefeated as a champion. He is on like a 20 or 21 (or is 22 now, LOL) match winning streak. Everything about him exudes skill, class, style, etc, etc... God, I sound like I am trying to get him into Sainthood, LOL.

I think it is so funny about how much crap people were talking about Vera after his first fight but now his bandwagon is growing every day. Give him some time and I think he really is going to be a force in whichever division he chooses. I hope he accomplishes his goal of getting both belts especially to piss off all the people who doubted and still are doubting him.

i didnt get to see any of vera's fights except the one where he introduced his leg to eilers head. that made my night just seeing that. if he performs as crisp and quickly as he did in that match, i think he wil be a force in the hw devision. hes pretty fast and quick for a hw.

I can see this fght happening because Pride already gave Arlovski an offer that he can possibly take after his contract is up, which I believe is after Tim. Arlovski would awesome matches in Pride against Alexsander, Sergei, and Barnett. But, I really don't think he could hand with the big three in Noguirea, Mirko, or Fedor. But he would be an awesome addition to the roster.

A pittiful offer, you mean. It was awful. An insult. All it was worth was to make the UFC give him a better contract -- a bit of leverage. Don't expect AA in Japan. He made his home in the good ole US of A -- CHI-TOWN.

This is a fight I would like to see. We wont see it unless AA leaves UFC due to lack of fighters. I myself am a big AA fan but Fedor?? I don't think Arlovski could beat him now... maybe in time if he keeps improving. I think he will have a great showing on the 15th against Tim

AA is too great of a champion to abandon his belt in the UFC. The PRIDE FC belt is not as meaningful here in North America. The ONLY way that I see AA going to Japan is if Silvia beats him. That won't happen, IMO. If it did, I see AA in Japan for three reasons -- to fight three fighters. Nog, Mirko, and then Fedor. If he beats all three, then he might stay there. But, Why? He would have proved PRIDE to be impotent in the HW division. If he loses to them, then he will return to the US. Japan is not a Western nation. Westerners will want to make it big in the West.

in my opinion the pitbull has three legitiment contenders in the ufc.jeff monson, marcio cruz, and brandon vera.the reason i say marcio cruz is he beat mir and i think mir was so dominate is because of his jiu jitsu skills and any heavy has good BJJ he has a advantage in the hwd.

The only two good heavyweights in the UFC are Monsoon and Arlovski. Vera hasn't beaten anybody yet at all. That not his fault but he needs a lot more fights before you can say he could do well. Cruz is very limited on his stand up and only has 2 fights under his belt granted one is over Mir.

Vera is among the better up-and-coming MMA HW fighters. I am certain that he will do well, and will be seeing title shots within the next year. I would LOVE to see him KO the Pit Bull -- AA. It would make my year to have a hometown boy become the HW champion.

He could also be a slouch on the ground or have a very weak chin. We don't know because he hasn't fought enough.
