Karo Parisyan...
I'm just a bit curious as to how Karo Parisyan went from getting a title shot against hughes to being on an undercard simply due to an injury? He had to pull out because he got hurt and he hasnt fought or lost any fights so he shouldnt have dropped much if any at all in the standings. How does the ufc justify him going all the way to an undercard all of a sudden? Does anyone have any info on this?

because he never deserved a title shot... and to put him against hughes in a main event was grasping at straws.. he got hurt, BJ came in, GSP won more, and now theres 2 far better matches to put in front of him...

I would have to agree with GSPalltheway. I like Karo and think he's a badass. GSP is definatley next in line, and most would say BJ next, then I could see Karo in there. I think if he has a good showing at 59, they should match him up against BJ... that would be a sweet fight!

thanks for the responses. i wasnt trying to say that he deserved to fight hughes before gsp at all. there isnt anyone that deserves the title shot more right now. i agree a penn / karo match would be great to watch. i was just wondering why they would push him so far down again without really losing any matches. do you guys think he deserves to be an undercard though?

No I dont think he deserves to be an undercard at all. He beat Diaz and Diaz is getting more attention then he is. Kara should be fighting Sherk at UFC 59 and Diaz should be the undercard, he's lost to Riggs and Sanchez already, I dont get why UFC is giving him so much chances and not giving Kara any.

IMO karo should get a shot at matt for the simple fact the guy got hurt not beat.Okay he lost to gsp but george got his chance and lost to a armbar, but then when karo could not make the fight why did'nt gsp step up if he wanted another title shot instead of riggs.Plan and simple nobody should get a shot at the belt until he gets his shot.

GSP got his shot 9 UFCs ago.. AND he beat Karo... and he has gotten better... karo hasnt really beaten anyone spectacular, and a match with matt at this point is just a waste of time IMO.. put him vs BJ ( i think penn wins) then have the winner.. (penn) fight the winner of GSP\hughes

I agree.......... An no I'm not saying GSP doesn't deserve the shot first now. But sticking a fighter like Karo on the under cards is crazy.

There are so many good fighters at the moment in this weight class that he slipped the order real quick, if this was heavyweights, he'd probably get a shot straight away. Good for us that we get to see a good few fights on the undercards and some great title match ups.
Karos is good but has been surpassed, if he thinks he has a chance soon, he needs to think again. Looking forward to his fight though.
