Short UFC PPVs..
Did anyone notice that the last UFC was rather short, only showing 5 fights... I just check the card for 59 and 5 out of 9 say May not be broadcast.
I hope they show all ( or most ) of these fights. 5 fights was a let down last time and i hope they don't go the same root as that this time. I know due to going the distance in multiple fights it takes time but last PPV there was 45 min left and they didn't show another fight.
With all the good fights on this card i just hope we get to see most if not all of them.

Yeah me and my friends were really dissappointed for the length of 58. There were several undercards I would have liked to seen. I hope Zuffa doesnt start ripping us of by paying almost $50 for 5 freekin fights. Now with how mainstream UFC is I hope they dont start milking it for every penny like Vince McMahon did with wrestling(gay). What they dont show the Tanner card? Or Terrell/ Smith. Or Karo? Hell, I would love to see little pitbull fight again. 9fights scheduled...which ones will get the axe?

its based on time, not # of fights... if no one finishes and it all goes to decision then less fights will be shown

Yeah, even time-wise the last one ended early... that definitely sucked.
that coupled with the BJ situation really made me want to hughes-powerslam my TV set that night.

LOL After the UFC 58 I e-mails complaints into my PPV provider and Zuffa. I really wanted to see the undercard fights, (Stout v Fisher especially).
Everyone should be e-mailing or we will keep getting short changed for our big $$.
If UFC 59 is cut short by 45 minutes I will likely not get another one (maybe the Hughes v GSP fight but not likely).

i agree, if i have to pay what i payed for the last two, it better be the full time given to the ppv or im not getting another one. i just cant justify paying that much and it getting cut short.

I admit that I am thinking of not getting more UFC PPVs until they start showing the whole event. I mean, we are paying to see the event. They need to show all of it... I like the KOTC PPVs because they tend to show the entire event from beginning to end, from fight one to the last fight. And, you may not like the WWE, but their PPVs show the whole event.

They don't show them all so that we will buy the event on DVD when it comes out LOL!

Do they have all the fights on the DVD? I thought it was only what they actually showed on PPV.

THAT is true. And, unfortunately, it is a smart marketing policy
They will sell more that way. I think that it is a rip-off that they charge some $40 for the PPV, and then get you again on the DvD. I would prefer that they make the PPVs well enough that a fan would WANT to buy the DvD.
Also, since I don't buy the DvD for any PPV event, then I am curious to know how they are formatted. Is it that all the fights from the PPV are shown in order, or do they show them the same way that they are aired? Are all the fights there?

Well there is a good chance that 3 of the 5 will go the distance so I don't think the swing bout would even be shown. I can see Monson vs. Pe De Pano, Sherk vs. Diaz, and Forrest vs. Tito all going the distance.
I would imagine Karo and Nick would be a swing bout and Terrel vs. Smith has a chance to be seen since that may be a quick one.

well, also, they just signed on for more episodes of unleashed with spike tv and if they showed all the fights, then they wouldnt have any material to show on those as well unless they just wanted to repeat all the ppv stuff people have seen, but that could hurt ratings...

It's a hard thing to balance enough pre fight talk to get you excited with showing as many fights as possible, but in the end the fights are what I want to see.
