Chuck vs. Quinton would have probably brought more PPVīs than he has ever sold in the history of the UFC. The guy is just not a business man, and his loyality to the fans seems to be even worse.
Quinton signing with the UFC would have elevated the UFC to a higher level. Oh well Dana..

And that is why he resinged Tito and Bj even though they hate each other. Dana, although a dick, is on our side. The media ban is dead which nobody ever talks about and he resigned Royce, Tito, BJ, and got us on national television. Ohhh scary evil Dana.
People now seem to forget what it was like having MMA underground. Dana and Zuffa has helped make MMA a legit sport in the eyes of the general public. Hell, UFC 59 was advertised in the latest Sports Illustrated.
Dana isn't as evil as people crack him up to be.

But he didn't even call Jackson. He got calls from every organization except UFC. How does that make any sense to me? Sure not everything he does sucks but this does, badly. Don't know how you can even begin to defend that.

Does Dana realize how marketable a person Rampage is? Not only is he a great fighter but hes got a superstar personality that the american public would love. Not to mention his fighting style.
Rampage in the UFC should be a no brainer.

I'm not making an excuse for Dana not calling Jackson, which he should have. Jackson in the UFC would be awesome and he would dominate in my opinion. But to say Dana is only in it for the money is crazy. That is what I was arguing.

Got "us" on National televison? MMA has been on National Television around the world for years, without the UFC. Over here in Europe Iīm watching almost every K1 Tournament live, UFC is shown, Pancrease, Muay Thai, whatever... you name it and also Pride, everything on TV. If anything you need to give fighters like Chuck and Randy the credit for the UFC getting popular the last couple of years.
Pride has been on National Television in Japan since day one, for example. What are you talking about kid? Who cares if the UFC is in Sports Illustrated. I want to see good fights, not the UFC in Sports Illustrated. Dana and Zuffa might have made it a legit sport in the eyes of the Americans, but MMA has been legit on an international level since day one. People need to stop judging everything by what is going on in the states. I owe Dana and Zuffa nothing. Nobody said anything about him being a Sith Lord, letīs not try to give him too much credit, and he has maybe 0.001% of Donīs money, The true Sith Lord. All I said was he is in it for the money, of course you can stick up for him, not my problem.
About him bringing back people, what are you saying ? He did it for the love of MMA???? Of course he did it for the money. Tito is a high commodity, so is BJ and Royce is a legend. He does everything for the money. Itīs a business, but Dana is not the best business man. And I donīt know why you mention Tito and Royce. Personally, I donīt want to see Tito, and Royce is too old for this game. Thanks Dana.. oh your so great Dana.

one small problem with getting rampage is tito.. i believe they are great friends, and would inevitably have to clash.. that is one possible issue with him wanting to sign

That's definitely an issue. Your signing another fighter who will be in the top 5 of the division but who will not fight another of your top 5 fighters. If Rampage isn't going to fight Tito, he has Chuck, Babalu and then what if he won't fight Tito? Maybe fight Marvin Eastman again just for ha ha's.
It's a tough sell when you will be one of the (if not the) best fighters in a small division and refuse to fight another of the top fighters.
...that being said, even if you just bring him back to fight Chuck it's worth it. But then if Rampage wins, how does Tito get his title shot that according to contract rumors he should be getting?

Well I don't think that's an issue. Jackson was waiting for a call back from Dana. He was all for it. Apparently Dana wasn't.

Rampage sending a message?
Is Rampage trying to send a message to the light heavyweight champ? Check it.

I know Rampage is loved here but I am a little sick of his games. Quit acting like Brett Farve and make a decision one way or the other. Outside of watching Rampage beat on some lower Pride guys and knocking out Arona, I have not been impressed. Wanderlei KO'd him twice. He somehow got a decision on Ninja that even he did not agree with.
Please make a decision. I would love a Liddell/Rampage match. Liddell would get his revenge.

True but when Jackson said he recieved calls from everyone except Dana that's kind of a sign that Dana's not interested in him for some reason. Also Quinton hasn't been exactly singing praises about "U-Fight Cheap" as he called it. I hope Quinton can convince Dana to sign him but my hopes are at an all time low. It's as far back in my mind as possible. To me Jackson is still a Pride fighter.

I agree completely. It would still be a good thing for him to stay in Pride. Lots of good fights for him over there.

Definitely. If you think about it all that there is in UFC is the rematch with Chuck because he definitely wouldn't fight Tito. While that would be huge, Jackson has more matches that he wants in Pride. I don't think he cares that much about rematching Chuck really. Why would he when he beat him down, ya know? He said that he wants to fight Shogun and Wanderlei again. I think those matches are much more important to him. But then again it isn't about the matches it's about whoever offers him the most "cheddah" and that's something Dana hasn't even attempted to discuss with him yet which is kind of disappointing.

The only two organizations that are going to sned the money his way are DSE and Feilds (Hero's). I don't see Jackson leaving Japan.
