Breaking News! Tito Ortiz' MRIs came back negative for tear on the ACL and/or LCL. ACL is healing, LCL streched. Slight break of fibula. Nagging bulging disc in his lower back. Don't question his heart, he's a warrior. Tito WILL BE FIGHTING KEN SHAMROCK IN JULY!

Don't know how reliable this is since it's coming from Michael Disanto. I hope it's true because that would be good news.

I want Ken to show Tito why humility is a good thing, but Tito is going to win.

I really hope Tito can get his leg in shape by the time of the fight and still train like he needs to. As being someone that has had a torn acl and knee reconstruction, even a sprained kneed or tweaked ligament is very painful and takes a descent amount of time to rehab and get back to 100%. I just hope they both are in the best shape they can be in so that there isn't any type of excuses or anything when it's all said and done with....no matter who wins.
I personally think that Ken stands a much better chance than people are giving him credit for.

I'm not much of a fan of either one but I just can't see Shamrock beating Tito here.

I like this...I think it's a pretty gutsy move on Tito's part...and I still see him pounding out Ken just like the first fight.

1) Remember when titoortiz.com was reporting that Pride had offered him a contract and we were going to see him kicking ass in Pride? They kind of jumped the gun on that announcement.
2) There's a legal issue at hand here. If the Tito-Ken contract was nullified and Ken and Forrest signed a new, binding contract, Forrest can insist that his fight still happens. We'll see if he will or not, but when he, Ken and the UFC signed that contract, it means that fight either happens, or they have to pay him off, or they have to make a counter-offer that he agrees to (for example, he might agree to this contract getting torn up if Dana White guarantees him a shot at the winner).

I don't think they officially signed that fight though. It was just kind of like Forrest saying he would do it. I have no interest in seeing Forrest vs. Ken. I'd rather see a Gannon vs. Hinkle rematch.

They didn't jump the gun on that announcement. He did get a offer from Pride he never accepted it. The posting on his site did it's job, light a fire under the UFC's butt. Soon after he got the offer from the UFC.

I'm pretty sure that Tito will win, but I really hope that Ken can pull the upset. Tito's good, but all that whining and acting like a baby gets on my nerves. I want to see him get beat by submission so he can cry about his knee some more.

I am considering flying out to Vegas for this one. UFC 40 is one of my favorite events ever, the hype for that fight transcended the sport.
The scariest thing of all to me is this: What if Ken Shamrock wins? Think of the possibilities...
