Thumbs down Ken Shamrock, The Mike Tyson of MMA

Wow... How more screwed could Shamrock be? There aren't words to describe how rediculous this guy is. I never would have imagined I'd be saying these things about him several years ago, but I don't think there could have been a worse pick for a coach than him. I am enjoying watching the freak show, though!
This HAS to be another example of just what happens to people's emotional state when they juice up with the gear (steroids) for a prolonged period of time, they all seem to lose touch with reality and revert back to acting as children and don't even realize it.
Just add Ken's name to the obvious list... Phil Baroni, Kevin Randleman, Mark Kerr, Mark Coleman... need I say more?
And isn't it interesting how Ken seemed to pick all the cocky, tattooed, freak facial-hair wearin' losers for his team? Regardless of how he described his strategy (Tragety), I have to give Tito alot of credit just for picking mostly good, slighly more mature guys. It shows that THAT DOES MEAN SOMETHING!
Love seein' those trash talkers get beat down!
I still don't think much about Tito, though. Look how he kept talking about how his cardio is so great, that he NEVER gets tired, and then look what happened against Forrest Griffin. I knew he was going to tire himself out after less than 2 minutes into that first round and sure enough... Go back and look at how he was huffin' for oxygen as soon as they went back to their feet.

The moral is, everybody talks so damn much, but few can actually back it with true deeds.:sport-smi

Tito was injured, if you've ever seen more then one of his fights you'd know that the guy really does have godlike stamina.

Look. I'm no Tito fan, but I give him credit for his unbelievable conditioning, and your statement couldn't be more wrong. He went into the fight with an injured knee, and by the second round he'd blown it out. It wasn't about being tired, he was in pain and could barely walk. And huffing for oxygen has nothing to do with gas in the tank -- part of having good stamina is knowing how to breathe, and it's the inexperienced fighters who don't fill their lungs when they have the chance.

It's ironic that you'd end your post saying that "everybody talks so much, but few can actually back it with true deeds." Would you like to fill us in on YOUR GREAT DEEDS that justify all this s**t you're talking about these fighters? What's your pro record? Where's your next fight?

calling Ken the Mike Tyson of mma, you would be imlpying that he was actually Dominate at one time. I cant think of a time when he was DOMINATING anyone in mma. I think his legend mostly comes from his Pancrase matches.

You don't consider Pancrase MMA?

This whole thread is depressing. I know -- "Then don't post in it."

Ummmm, I'm closing this thread. Not that I'm regulating what we can or can't talk about but I think this is just going to become a flame war and I doubt any good discussion is going to come from it.

Thread Closed.
