Chuck parties, but not when he's in the peak period of training for an upcoming fight that's important to his career. Chuck parties AFTER that fight and for a while, until his next one's signed and he has to get back on schedule. From what I can see, Tanner just cost himself this fight and a paycheck he was counting on because he's drunk and spending his money at the blackjack tables. That's not a problem?

No you're right it could be something else. Maybe I am reading into it too much. I was just thinking it is pretty messed up for him to be doing this now not that he is doing it at all. He's a grown man he can make his own choices. I was just thinking that since he should be training his ass off right now. Not partying it up like there's no tomorrow. Oh well I don't want to make a big deal of it. I hope if he does have a gambling problem he gets it under control. If not, cool and I can't wait to see him back in the cage either way.

i think tanner (if he isnt right now) the 2nd best MW by a good deal.... its just a matter of him getting over that huge hill which is franklin... he just doesnt match up well.... either way im not worried about any of his "problems"
another thing is he JUST fought levens.. maybe he wants a little more time to prepare for someone like horn... or just needs more of a break... the UFCs are so close together now its hard to expect as many back to back appearances

His marriage broke up a while ago, which I imagine is what all this is related to. But GSPalltheway -- I'm done having this conversation go 'round and 'round with you. You keep missing my point that it's a problem when you're a PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER in TRAINING for a FIGHT. Stop using yourself as an example -- nobody cares if you or your friends drink or gamble. It's not the same thing.

Tanner has been posting a lot on Myspace. It's obvious he is not in the right state of mind right now. I don't know if he is reaching out for support or what but he's posting a lot of personal things there. I hope he gets everything sorted out because it doesn't sound like he is just having a minor issue with something. Sounds like he's deeply bothered and depressed.

I'm with you guys on that one. I really hope he gets back on track and makes another run for the title.
