it is hard to say something like that look at Rich Franklin he has never lost in the UFC and Marco has only one lose and it was a very close fight I think the snowman will be a champion contender really soon

Thing is, Cruz is better at BJJ to begin with, and Mir ran out and tried to knock his head off and ended up on the ground; where Cruz laid the smack down. The Snowman should get a shot, but if Cruz was out punching him Tim will pulverize him...or AA; whoever wins their next fight. The only chance for him is to get it to the ground; which he didn't push for, against Cruz, because of the BJJ. Militech guys know how to sprawl too...I think it'd be a long night for Monson.

I think its time to let go of all the old heavyweights that aven't been doing very well lately. Let the new HW's come in. Fighters like Assuerio Silva, Vera, Buentello and Gonzoga. And of coarse Arlovski.

ya, there's no argument that can really be made to let go of mir. he has lost one fight in the ufc and has held the championship belt...and he didnt "lose" that due to fights, he lost it due to injury.

mir is going through what a lot of athletes that suffer a severe injury go through. they arent used to being sidelined for so long or the toll it takes on their bodies by not training. they push for recovery and sometimes overstep themselves and try to get back into things a bit too early. it happens in almost every sport, from pitchers hurting their pitching arm again after going through rehab, football players coming off of acl surgery and get back on the fielf with a brace on, and so on. i think that mir will be just fine and just needs to keep up the training. if i had to bet on it, we will see mir moving toward the top once again in the not so distant future...

Let go of Mir? No way. He's 25 or 26 if he still has the desire to fight but just can't physically that's much different than someone who doesn't have the desire. For example Trigg's retiring. He is more than physically able to compete and be a top contendor but he just doesn't have the time and doesn't want to put the effort into it and decided that he is "done" fighting. Mir needs to wait until he really is ready to come back then he will be a force.
