UFC 61 - Ortiz vs Shamrock
This fight is also mentioned on the UFC website... so no Forrest/Shamrock after all. I would prefer to see Tito vs Ken anyway. Tito takes this one easily I think by GNP stoppage (Ken is over the hill).

I'd rather see Mike Van Arsdale vs Tito, so that says alot.
But since Shamrock/Tito hate each other, I wanna see it. It'll end up being a very ugly S and M session though. Tito the S, Shamrock the M.

His only UFC win by submission was over Yuki kondo(Neck Crank) at UFC 29

And yet, wasn't all his hype early on about what a submission expert he is? If memory serves, in the Tapout 2 game, Bruce Buffer even introduces him as "This man is a submission fighter..."

Ummm, I would not write of shamrock. His recent fights have not shown his abilty as well as some of his fights. Granted he is getting older but then again look at the great Randy the natural, he was able to not only impose his game plan on Tito but dominate him when he took the title from him.
I'm looking forward to this fight

Physically i don't believe Ken Shamrock is over the hill, still looks tough and in good shape with the tools in that area. Mentally however, is where ol'shammy seems to be lacking. I don't think shamrock has that "Hungry" state of mind, and the sheer drive to be *WIN,WIN* any more.
Also not much else to strive for either. Afterall the guy is already well established, a UFC legend, a former champion, etc. He has already acheived more than most.
Personally, i just hope he trains the best he ever has for the Ortiz fight, and if he wins it. Retire after and end it with a good victory over Ortiz to go out on.
C'mon Ken, *1 More* big win!

I believe that Shamrock will matchup really well with Ortiz. He has the chance to win----but-----if Ortiz starts pushing his buttons, Shamrock will get mad and careless like he normally does. If Shamrock can stay calm and stuff Ortiz's takedown, Shamrock has a great chance to pull off an upset.

What from the first fight between the two gives you the impression Shamrock matches up well with Tito?

I think that Shamrock is stronger and wants it more than Tito. I believe Shamrock needs to control his temper and he will do fine. Im not saying he will win...but he will do alright.

There is nothing I would like better then to see Ken win this fight. But, That is just not going to happen. Tito is probley going to pound Ken into a bloody pulp again. I wish it would happen the other way around. But, there is just no way he can hang with the younger more well rounded Tito.

Stronger than Tito? Guy looks like the incredible hulk but Tito is going to throw him around the cage again and there is nothing Ken will be able to do about it other than block Tito's elbows with his face again. Tito will get under his skin again and wants it just as much as Ken.

the difference i feel with the fighters is physce, ken is angry and p@#sed of with Tito and he brings that to the cage, throwing his game plan, Ortiz instigates and controls his aggression, making th arguements in order to put shamrock off, for shamrock to stand any remote chance of winning he must learn to focus and get into a state of mind that he forgets hes even fighting ortiz and treats it like any other fight
and on that note prob get his ass kicked
