Wow, is this sherdog? I can't even come close to saying what I would like without getting the boot off this forum. I will say you really need to think for more than a second before you post crap like that.

It's not like the celebs pay for the tickets. It gives UFC a precieved cred when they show up. UFC is more than happy to give them tickets. I'm sure some are fans and some came for the free stuff.

UFC events aren't considered classy or high profile enough for celebrities to flock to them in the hopes of being seen. If anything, the fan bases of people like Wilmer Fezerama and Kevin James probably see MMA as gross and distasteful, so it's a testament to their commitment to the sport that they're happy to accept Zuffa's offer each time and sit right up front in full view of the cameras. I have no explanation for the continuing appearance of Cindy Crawford, other than she must be a fan. Right on.

If I have to look at a few celebs in order to watch a fight so-be-it. I never understood ring girls either--alrights maybe hotness doesn't require an excuse--but there they are.

Miletich said this morning that Cindy Crawford was dared by her husband to have Matt sign her breast. I hope the attachments work.

He also said that celebrities came up to them (Pat and the guys) while they were eating breakfast and shook their hand saying that they were fans and it was nice to meet them. He didn't say who it was though.

EDIT: For thinking faster than I can type.

hey guys check out the ufc website... the UFc are promoting the celebs at the event, looks to my cynical eye that the UFC are looking to work the PR as a two way basis, celebs cashing in on the image and UFC cashing in on the fact that the celebs are viewing.. damn if paris Hilton watches it then hell.. it must be a great sport (or so the normal man on the street will think and potentially the other state senates that its banned in).. hmm it is a business afterall, we dont mind exploitationa s long as its justified

The UFC is actually smart to exploit celebrities that way. And I honestly don't care what happens to celebrities either. I doubt any of them are "genuine" fans. Why wouldn't they want to come so they can get special treatment by Zuffa and get their name flashed all over the screen?

geez thats a warning??

i think alot of the celebs like the ufc a ton... im sure some of it is for exposure but thats true anywhere they go.. they must like it somewhat and some of them in the interviews have quite a bit of knowledge IMO... i guess it depends on which ones you guys are talking about..

Well of course I'm not talking about the guys who have knowledge of the sport. Guys like Kevin James are no brainers, but Paul Walker talked like he knew some stuff. But then you have guys like that Wayans bro (can't remember which one) who was talking about eye socket holds and stuff. Of course he is a comedian but still. You see what I'm sayin. Then you have people like the Aeon Flux girl who even Joe Rogan took a jab at that one. Really it's not that big of a deal whether they are or aren't. It's actually good for them both just like the UFC has stated.

And I do think that is deserving of a warning. Since I don't study martial arts I don't like the fact that I am assumed to be a drunk idiot because I order the UFC. Do you?

if i could be bothered looking throught the posts to quote the person who said it happened in boxing ( unless i dreamt it), id say ur right. i watched the cotto fight and they did the usual celebs in attendance, however, when i see the calibre of ufc celebs compared to boxing more high profile celebs seem to be attending ufc, i know someone will say ur wrong and why, but in general i think its because ufc events are normally around 4 per year? hence more publicity than a big fight which might only happen once in a while i.e. super heaveyweight fight etc.. UFC card normally have at least 1 very high profile fight and so attract i would imagine in general a high audience than that of a boxing bout, if we looked at it in terms of acceptance and if the ufc started on the same par as boxing, in my opinion ufc would be bigger. i dotn think i have expressed my logic but im happy to explain later.

Michael Clarke Duncan is a true fan, I heard he has been to every UFC to date, is this true?

And who can forget the KORN interview?
