Default So Monson vs Perosh is an undercard, while Neer vs Burkman are prelims??

So is the Josh Burkman vs Josh Neer fight going to be a televised fight and the Monson vs Perosh fight isn't? I really hope that isnt true but by the looks of the fight card on the website, it is. All I can say is that AA better finish off Sylvia in the first round so we can see the Monson fight.
Just gotta add this in...
Why is the fight poll got Sylvia favoured to win 100%, same with Dan Christionson over Frank Mir, or Ortiz over Shamrock. I think Frank and AA gotta have at least a 50% chance to win, its a bit hard to vote for Shamrock to be equal, but he should have a higher chance then what all the fans are giving him on the website.

They do. It's called Ultimate Fight Night.

i know, i was thinking on a broader scope. i personally think it'd be great if the UFC could finance an event based on sponsors alone. like the NFL or MLB. hopefully the UFC will be marketable enough oneday to do that. if not the UFC another promotion that can attract big advertising revenue. PPV sort of sucks.

I just looked at the fight card on ufc.com and the Monson fight isn't even listed as being official yet. And none of the poll numbers that I saw were at 100% for any fighters.

I just wish they would quit having Ultimate Fight Nights comprized mostly of TUF castaways that are at best King of the Cage level both in talent and event production. It has been getting better I admit, but still.

When you're on UFC.com, look at the news portion where they have their little articles, and back on 6/14 they announced it as being official. I personally am looking forward to the Monson fight, but in terms of a better overall fight I think that goes to Neer/Burkman. Although I've never heard of this Perosh guy he's fighting.

I dunno, the next Ultimate Fight Night is pretty damned interesting (IMO )

Yeah I agree with this totally. The level of the fights on some of the Fight Nights has been less than stellar, especially the most recent Fight Night, which was just downright terrible.

While you're right about the level of some recent UFNs, I still look at it as MMA on FREE tv. And it's kinda nice seeing the progression of some fighters, such as Bonnar, Leben, Jardine and the like.
What's nice about things is that now we're complaining about the quality of free fights on tv, where even 3-4 years ago there was NOTHING on cable. You have to go back to UFC 37.5 for a cable broadcast before this.

I'm looking forward to Leben/Silva though, there's a good chance my boi Leben might get his head kicked into the first row.

I like the Ultimate Fight Nights personally myself, I think its great to have free ufc on tv, because it can catch non viewers eyes, and get htem interested in buying a ppv. Its all advertisements for ppvs. This UFN is going to be sweet though, its not just TUF castaways, its all great matches. It doesnt bother me to have TUF fighters at all, just cause the dont win the competition, doesnt mean they should never fight in teh UFC ever. They just need to prove themselves in anohter fight and they can be fighting for Dana.

Monson is one of my favorite hw so I want to see him fight badly. I like Burkman and Neer, but I would rather see Monson fight.

I agree. I'd much rather see Burkman fight the dentist than watch Monson fight. The guy is huge but I just find that type of fighter boring to watch. I'm not saying he is not a good fighter, just not a fan of the Lindlands and Monson's of the world.

I really wouldn't compare Lindland to Monson in any way to be honest. Monson is the 5"8, 240lb fighter, and watching someone that small and stocky is always fun to watch in the octagon.
I dont really want to watch Neer fight really, I dont find him too entertaining to watch fight. Plus he is one of the most boring fighters I've ever heard talk.

Yeah, I'm dying to see him in the ring with Tim Sylvia.

UFC says he's 5'-7" and 240 lbs, Sherdog says 6'-0", 215 lbs. Do you think there could be two Jeff "The Snowman" Monsons? Maybe he's cutting height and weight for his next fight.
