here is the brilliance of MMA, becuase its a new sport the next generation of kids will be just like, him learning from an early age, you can see he is well rounded already, his BJJ is ace for someone of that age, ul get the guys on here who will say " he missed an armbar oppourtunity" etc.. but really, that is special, i bet throught brazil and the USA there are many kids with that potential, MMA get ready for an explosion

Is his name Drake "Ultimate" Dudley, or James Blair? That is a bit confusing. It did say that the video was edited by James Blair, and has James Blair on the screen throughout the video. But, the first thing that they show is the name Drake Dudley on the splash screen.

I love watching MMA, however this video was disturbing to me. Watching kids beat on each other and possibly break arms is not very entertaining. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

If this was a video of kids actually hurting each other then it would be bad. These looked like point competitions to me. The ref. never waited for a tap. As soon as it was applied the ref. would seperate them. Never leaving time for a kid to get hurt. I could be wrong, but that is the video I watched. Not disturbing at all.
Or are you saying that kids that young shouldn't train MMA? Or am I totally missing you point?.

Not only the submissions, but the striking and rolling around and the take downs. I fear they might sprain a ligament or something. Seeing kids this young whooping on each other disturbs me a bit.

Actually, I have seen kids in a school yard hurting each other worse than that on a daily basis. Mt brother used to go to a school where he was in a severe minority racially speaking. He literally had to fight every day. A year later he was the toughest kid in that school. Then we moved. At the next sschool, my brother broke one kids arm and caused a detached retina in another kid on the first day that he was in that school. No one messed with him at all after that. I would much rather kids do the fighting in controlled conditions like we see in this film clip as opposed to uncontrolled school yard brawling.

I can't recall after watching the video but as long as there is no striking to the face with kids that young I'm not against it or anything. Not something I think is amazing though.

They were using larger gloves than the professionals use in the UFC. It looked like boxing gloves in some of the clip edits. Also, it looks like the kid is involved with at least three or four different competition types there... Gi, no-Gi, submission only, regular wrestling, and a few striking types. When he armbarred that one kid, that kid looked hurt to me.

The kid obviously has the apptitude to be a descent if not a good fighter when he gets older. If he stays with it and trains and goes about it the proper way, this kid could be a pretty competitive guy in the futer MMA scene. Also, that is true with a lot of younger people now. With the boom in popularity of the sport and more and more people getting into it, the next generation of athletes will produce more mma competitors and its only good for the sport.

I didn't find it disturbing at all, kids do much worse things than compete in martial arts. Really, even with strikes and the kids being hurt to some degree I don't think it is a big deal. Kids are made of rubber and heal quick. Really, what is the difference between a 13 year old doing this and a 23 year old? I guess I just don't understand why anyone would have a problem with this. Or let me rephrase that, I understand why people might have a problem, I just think they are wrong.
On another note, MMA is going to be ridiculous in a decade. After the whole "the sport has changed" hype from Hughes/Gracie..... extend that into this next generation of fighters.
Good things are coming for the sport.

Someone is "wrong" because they don't have the same opinion as you?
I think this is okay as long as they are supervised very closely and they aren't hitting eachother in the face. You really don't think there is a different between a pre-teen (those kids looked younger than that) and a teenager competing? Are you joking?
