Kurt Angle is more than an entertainment wrestler. He won an Olympic gold medal. With a broken neck. He has also been training MMA sinse his move to TNA.

i dont know why Vince is pissed off. I guess its because now Vince has no Wrestling Competition. The UFC is The Big Competiton. And UFC Appears to Be Winning in terms of PPV Buyrates. i think the TV Ratings need to go up a bit more though

Sorry man but you're wrong on that one. ESPNews brought John Cena in studio one time. Carrying his belt and all.

I don't watch it.. but if they are trying to mention UFC style fights in there scripts then it just showes the directors have taken notice of the popularity of MMA and maybe trying to keep the wavering fans focused on them.

I agree!! WWF (that is what it is) is just and adult soap opera. MMA is a real sport and to even engage in fack wrestling is a joke.

That is funny considering how quite a number of MMA fighters have already engaged in pro-wrestling: Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz, Sylvester Turkay, Daniel Puder, and on and on. TUF1 followed RAW on Spike TV and gathered a huge number of fans as a result. Now, with RAW on USA, TUF1-4 seasons have slowly lost their edge in ratings. A consistent slide down from a once lofty 3.0 down to numbers below 1.0. TNA does not hit the level of ratings that the WWE hits.
RAW hits ratings like 3.6 to 4.1, and has been dominating Monday Night Football for over a decade. So much so, that ABC dumped MNF off onto ESPN where it will never see ratings like it once did on ABC. TNA hits rating in the range of .8 to .9 and TUF4 is only slightly higher with ratings that never seem to get above 2.0 and have falled down to lower than TNA.

It would never happen because it could severely damage the UFC. For one, just having someone in the UFC fight a pro-wrestler (even one with Angle's credentials) would kill their credibility. And two, if Angle was to actually win it would (in theory) set the tone that the UFC is inferior to pro-wrestling. The WWE or other pro-wrestling organizations would PR-blitz the hell out of that vicotry. The UFC has spent a lot of time and money to legitimize their business as a sport, not a spectacle. A pro-wrestler bout would immediately cancel all that hard work and revert it back into spectacle.
Lastly, it won't happen because Angle is a play-acting vagina and not a real fighter.

He's probably also been playing golf too, but I don't expect him on the PGA tour anytime soon either.

All for $$$$$$$. And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't those fighters engage in play wrestling because of MMA losing streaks? If, because of your loses, the UFC is only going to give you $ per fight why not play-fight for $$$?

I never said anything about him being good. Just saying he's far from an "entertainment wrestler"
