Whatever Matt can do Tito does better....Bigger, Stronger, smarter, and would impose his will on Matt. Can't believe we are even comparing the two sure Matt is a amazing 170lbs fighter but 205lbs is another world. :sport-smi

Well Tito lost to Frank Shamrock and Frank is was a whole lot smaller. Tito I wouldn't say is stronger. Size is one factor it dosn't mean your going to be able to beat everyone smaller than you. As for strength Matt has strength far surpassing his weight class. Smarter thats just crazy no way is Tito smarter. He has a louder mouth and does a whole lot of nice jumping before a match.
And Matt is not a champion for no reason!

Well if Hughes really weighed 170 you may have a very small legitimacy to your point but Hughes walks around at 195-200 when he's not training for a fight and Tito is always under 210, so I have to totally disagree with you. I believe it would be one hell of a fight and give a slight advantage to Hughes, even if he weighed in at 175 and Tito was 205. Weight is not everthing, skill, mindset and heart are way more to be recond with that 30lbs are.

tito definently cuts weight... he is huge in his off time then uses great cardio to be as good as he can be.... if he didnt cut he would outweigh matt by plenty

Yeah your right he does cut, but I hear its usually only 10lbs at the most. Tito is a Cardio Monster all of the time and he dosnt balloon up like a lot of the guys and he has Tiny legs wich dont put much wieght on.

why would tito have to drop down to matt's weight. Im sure if this fight would happen they would make it a middleweight fight, Tito can drop to 185 and matt can step up, it makes much more sense.

Did you ever see them go at it at ADCC? IMO Tito was tossing Matt around no problem. Tito IS stronger as proven in ADCC, is a better submission fighter as proven in ADCC, has a better MMA mind as proven as TUF coaches, Tito is a better striker than Matt. Matt does NOTHING better than Tito.

Matt was a totally different fighter 6 years ago. His game has evolved. I would also point out that it is different fight when you can get hit. I am not saying that it wouldnt be a good fight, but Hughes would come out on top.

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that Matt would win? I mean do you know Matt's strengths & weakness? Both fighters have the same strengths and weakness. But Titos ground game is better and his striking is also. Just don't know how you all think Matt would win. He sure as hell couldnt keep Tito down IF he got him in his guard. Is he going to TKO Tito on his feet? lol

I think a cross side kimura from half guard is a damn good ground game. But that's just me.

I have to agree with Eraser2K1NIN. Tito beats Matt. Walking around at 200 lbs and fighting at 200 lbs are two totally different things. Tito does both at 200 +, Matt does one. Weights not everything, you're right, but when the two guys are that evenly matched and similar in styles; weight does matter. Love him or hate him, Tito's got just as good of skill, mindset and heart that Matt Hughes does. Tito wins this one.

I would pick Hughes on this one cause just like someone stated, his skills has improved.
As for Rich v. Tito, I would think Rich would beat Tito cause Rich is more well rounded fighter than Tito.

Ace, no contest IMO. Look how fast he put Shamrock away.

I agree, Rich is an amazing fighter and Chuck is getting older. This is a young man's game.

Fights won't happen
Hughes v Ortiz and Liddell v Franklin are like super matches that, like the best fights that could happen in pro boxing, probably won't happen. IF they did, I would take Hughes crushing Ortiz, as Hughes is one of the best all around UFC fighters ever. And Ortiz seems to lose to the high quality fighters more times than he wins. Franklin v Liddell would be the better fight. And I would go for Franklin by TKO

i think Tito would beat Hughes. i agree with what alot of people are saying is this thread. Ortiz is basically a bigger version of Hughes. plus i dont think Hughes can take that in your face action Ortiz brings. it'd be one hell of a fight. Rich vs Lidell would be an awsome fight. i think i'd pick Rich in a best of 3. but i could see it going either way.
personally i'd like to see Rich vs Hughes. mainly cuz i hate Matt hughes and i want to see him get his ass beat. and i think Rich would do it.
or Lidell vs Arlovski. that would be a brawl i think Chuck could win. i'd obvioulsy beat on Arlovski but i think Chuck could surprise.
and i dont think anyone really wants Brandon Vera. he could 'upset' any of the formentioned fighters. he's the kind of fighter you knows gonna be really good and have a big impact but no one wants to be the first big fight he wins.
