I've been a member here for awhile now, just not very active. Either way, I just love talking about fighting, that's why I'm here.

Of course, to all the new members, WELCOME. I hope to speak to all of you through the various threads that are on the boards. I enjoy debate and intelligent arguments as much as the next guy but some of the people that sign on here just to throw about insults, or this fighter sucks, or that fighter sucks, and things like that....well, this just isnt the forum for them. If what I just said doesnt pertain to you, then dont take it as me saying "just because you signed up recently youre below the regulars on here." That is not what I was saying when I started this thread. What I was asking is if anyone else noticed the larger than normal amount of new posters that was being rude and making inflamatory posts and remarks. After the UFC 61, there seemed to be a large amount of that type of posting. Like it was said earlier in the thread, this is a wonderful forum to talk, debate, and discuss MMA and for everyone thats new and is going to contribute to that, I say welcome and glad to have you here. After all, everyone on the forum at some point or another had to make that 1st post didnt they?

Right after the PPV we picked up a lot of posters, some of whom obviously didn't fit and were culled. OTOH there are several people who stayed on who are definitely contributing and livening up the discussion. So a big welcome to all the new guys, from a guy who hasn't been here long. It's a great board.

Because
A) The warn feature is gone for the time being
B) Public flogging is not legal, nor is tar&feathering. :P
C) Alot of the bans without warning come from further things sent via pm, death threats, every bad word in the book, you name it. Members who have been banned in the past will often sign up with a new account as well, leading to a quick zapping. When the warn feature comes back, it will become clearer

it annoys me that we have people on here who at times watch one UFC and think they know the whole sport based on one fight card, right of course everyone started someplace but get real if you know little dont broadcast it with poor critisms and unjust compalining, i undertand everyone has an opinion but MMA is more than peopel getting their faces smashed in and a 10 sec KO. i feel attimes alot of new members should get a feel of the forum before posting a thread or post. i reckon some peope and not all maybe just scour the internet looking for a place to air comments based on a low level of understanding for the sport, then either get banned or never visit again or nough to learn fully

The point here is don't act like an idiot or you will be banned. It's not that no one is going to like you because you just signed up or whatever. It's that a lot of new people sign up, don't regard the rules, act like an idiot and get banned. You will be warned and if you do what you aren't supposed to again than you will get KO'd and it doesn't even have to be a new member. If you can act like an adult and follow the rules you have nothing to worry about.

I'm a new member of this site, but i am not new to watching the UFC, and i still had alot of pessemistic (sp?) thoughts about the ppv the other night. i honestly thought it was the most disappointing ufc ppv i've ever seen... and after seeing many other posts, alot of people agreed w/ me.
