Yeah it's definitely not 100,000 per year. Over the course of 3 years, the fighter gradually makes more per each fight, like for example from 12,000 for one fight and then 16,000 the next. If they win all the fights over the course of the 3 years it totals out to about 100,000. At least that's how I understood it.

not true. Chuck and Randy got a percentage of ppv sales over the average. So far no other fighter has been offered this same contract.

It's more than 100,000 by a bit.

I'm half-expecting to read after UFC 62 that Babalu will get 100 dollars, lunch, and a bottle of rum for his match

I think the problem is that so few people know who he is, so they think he's some chump. The UFC:All Access for this PPV is on him, so that will help to educate some people. I'm sure he won't make anywhere near what Chuck is making, but i don't think they're looking to screw him over either. Right now the UFC seems to be trying to educate the public about some current fighters ragther than bringing in new ones.

Cool

The six-figure contract may include development clauses that pay out money for training and living costs. They have never really explained that one, as far as I know. Sanchez has fought four UFC fights (including his win au TUF1 Finale). He is into his second year, and is still undefeated. I think that he is still under his TUF1 winner contract.

Well the numbers don't lie Smashing.Pre or Post TUF1 only huge draws Chuck has had is his fights with Randy. Which is a guy that draws just as much as Chuck. If you take his fights out with Randy he did ok against Horn. Look at Titos last two fights HUGE draws. Love him or hate him Tito is a damn HUGE draw.

He keeps fighting guys he knows he can beat, and then winning them all by some sort of controversy...he won't be a big draw for long.

+1. I think everyone knew Shamrock was going to have his @$$ handed to him. I paid my $39 for TS v AA. Too bad it was such a crappy fight. I've bought the past 4 out of 5 fights (didn't care about US v. Canada) and the quality of the fights have been subpar. Dana keeps coming up with a good enough spin on the fights to keep me interested but I'm getting to the point where I'm going to stop unless it's very compelling (like Wandy v. Liddell).

C'mon chief, you know Ortiz is now and will be a huge draw for a long time, because he entertains in and out of the ring.

The hell? I know Chuck is more popular but damn...Way too much of a difference there. Its not like franklin is any less of a champion than chuck either.
Rich is/was locked into a terrible contract before he won the belt, and it didn't change after he won the belt. I don't recall if the fight with The Crow was the last fight on his contract or not. He should pull in some bigger numbers now. BTW, I think that $40K included win bonus.

As far as Babalu goes, I thought he was in one of those not so great contracts too, that and the fact that Chuck beat him once already won't help his payday.

One more note, I thought the contract was 9 fights total and the break down was:
first 3 fights - $5K + $5K win bonus
next three - $6K + $6K win
last three - $7K + $7K win
all total with nine wins that would get them $108K or roughly $36K per year for three years.

His numbers will start going down unless he steps it up a bit and stops winning all of his fights with some sort of controversy.

How does the last four count as controversy wins?

I don't know where you get "four" from but, How doesn't it? Because many people thought Belfort and Griffin won those fights. Though it wouldn't have probably mattered anyway, the last fight against Shamrock was stopped too early too; which is out of Tito's control but none the less still it had controversy. People get sick of seeing it. None of his wins have been convincing lately, not even Shamrock because of the premature stoppage. What I'm saying here is if Tito keeps squeaking out these wins and not doing it convincingly, he's going to lose his appeal.

Well Tim fighting is like watching two snails f--- and Tito always brings a good show, whether you like Tito or not, he always makes it and exciting and anticipated fight. I think Tito deserves every dollar he gets and Tim got more than he was worth on that night.

I think Franklin signed a 7 fight contract right before the Shamrock fight if I'm not mistaken. UFC knew what they were doing, but it is a pretty shrewd way of doing business! At least he has the Xyience endorsements though!

So how much of the $60K that Sylvia got for the fight goes right to Pat for his Miletich Fighting Systems?

Interesting article on MMA weekly about UFC Salaries. Also shows some of the fighter payouts over the course of a couple of UFC events as well. As it turns out some of the fighter payout's I listed before were off. Here's the link; http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...2373&zoneid=13

Some of those were pretty bad. Like UFC 57 I think it was, the UFC made almost $20 million off of that, and only paid the fighters about $700,000.
