How many eyes can one man poke?

Don;t get me wrong here, I like Chuck Liddell, but I just finished watching Chuck beat Tito (Ultimate Knock outs 3 & 4 on spike tonight since Bell isn't carrying WFA and just lost a customer in the process). I have seen the fight before but it just got me riled up again.

Anyways, the UFC NEEDS to do something about those thumbs. I say as soon as a fighter motions an eye poke the ref steps in and leaves it up to the judges. If the eye poke was (in the opinions of those first class judges) real take a point off the stiker. If not, then take a point from the defender.

That would at least hopefully teach the repeat offenders to keep thier thimbs tuck in instead of reaching out for that eye.

Chuck has won too many big fights within a few seconds of an eye poke and I hate it.

Like I said, I like Chuck and the way he fights, all except the eye gouging.

That's not the issue here. I like Chuck, but it sucks to see him poke a guy in the eye, them beat him down. I don't like Tito more than Chuck, less actually. Watching that again just ticked me off.

I think they're just flukes...it happens in fighting...it just happenend to happen in a couple of Chuck's fights that were relatively close together.

So are you saying you have watched any of his fights? It doesn't have to be proven since it's on video. I'd assume he doesn't do it on purpose. But it does seem to work to his advantage when it occurs.

Not good enough. Surely there must be an article proving it or interviews somewhere with fighters claiming to receive this infamous eye-poke.

You are joking right? You didn't hear any of the interviews where Randy said "he poked me in the eye and it kind of pissed me off so I chased him" etc. Vernon White also claimed to get poked. It's not some kind of secret or anything. Or are you just being facetious?

I'm just asking for someone here to pony up a little REAL proof, and not just here-say or suspicions.

And please post more than 1 measily link mentioning it. While its possible for liddel(or anyone) to do an accidentel eye-poke, most of you act like its a regular occurrence for liddel in a matchup.

So if thats the case and he does it fairly often, it should not be too hard for you guys to post links confirming it.

A little proof is all i ask. Don't get pissed at me if you guys can't deliver....

We arent arguing if he did it on purpose or not.. open handed gloves easily lead to accidents.. we are just stating that it HAS happened in the past.

And no, just posting some pictures of guys with messed-up looking eyes who just happened to fight liddel is not enough. Fighters can get black-eyes and BROKEN sockets from regular non-poke punches all the time.

Until some of you submit real proof of this i can't help but HIGHLY doubt all these claims of eye-poking. Again don't be pissed at me if you guys can't deliever on that request....
