Leben returns to UFN
He is fighting Jorge Santiago. I wonder if he will be a little more humble after getting his arse handed to him.

Jorge who? I've never heard of him. Where does he come from and what's his style? Leben will be ready I'm sure...of course vicious knock-outs, like he just took, can make some fighters gun shy too (aka AA). Will be interesting to see. I hope he does well.

Leban's last two fights were less than I expected from him. Even though he won one of those fights via decision, he looked lethargic, unmotivated, and winded in almost the entire fight. We all know how his fight with Silva turned out. Id like to see Leban come in and be as motivated and in shape and ready to go as he was against Jorge Rivera (sp).

Outside the fight with Silva, I think Chris' looked good lately. He just never even had a chance with Silva. He'll be ready.

Leben looked good until he fought that Luigi guy. He looked sluggish in that fight, and then got owned by Silva. If he shows up motivated he should win this one though.

Jorge is a pretty good fighter but Chris is a level above him as far as skill I think. Leben should take this match and be back on track!

Silva
Marquardt/Swick
Loiseau
Leben

Where the heck is David Terrell? Is he still fighting? I had high hopes for that guy.

He fought Scott Smith on the UFC 59 undercard and beat him. I believe it was a rear naked choke. He's also rumored to fight at UFC 62.

What I'm wondering is why Leben is getting special treatment from NSAC. He just got KO'd yet he didn't get suspended. It just seems odd.

He was suspended until 7/28/06 with no contact until 7/20/06.

Right on. I guess I just didn't expect a suspension so short. Usually it's at least 6-8 weeks.

I really don't see how on earth Silva can be ranked above anybody but Leben in the MW division. Ranking should not go by the assumed skill a fighter has. Silva is 1-0 in the UFC, that should hardly warrant a title shot. Marquardt,Swick and Terrel should all have shots before Silva does, even if Silva is better than all of the above.

it is a safety thing like football players and other athletes. I think this is a good decision for Leben to fight someone not a ton of people have heard of, got to remember he is not one of the elite fighters and that got shown in 28sec with AA. I think Leben will "put the stamp on this kids ass" and will be a good growing experience for him. I am looking for good things from him.

Not just UFC fighters. Any fighter who gets any type of injury gets a medical suspension. They are not allowed to compete during that time.
