MY UFN 6 picks
:sport-smi UFC Ultimate Fight Night 6:sport-smi
Diego Sanchez vs Karo Parisyan
Record: 17-0 Record: 23-3
Pick: Diego Sanchez
Karo “The Heat Parisyan” was once the #1 contender for the UFC Welterweight Title, but an injury during training kept him from facing Matt Hughes at UFC 56. Parisyan has lost to Sean Sherk (twice) and Georges St. Pierre. He holds wins over Shonie Carter, Nick Diaz and Nick Thompson. He’s got great ground skills and above average stand up. Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez is coming off a close win over John Alessio at UFC 60 and holds a 17-0 record overall. Alessio wouldn’t let Sanchez take him down in there match and at that moment ever one had saw Diego Sanchez’s flaw. Parisyan is more of a ground game fighter so this should be closer fight for Sanchez.
Chris Leben vs Jorge Santiago
Record: 15-2 Record: 11-5
Pick: Jorge Santiago
Chris Leben is coming off of a devastating loss to Anderson Silva. Silva just destroyed Leben and made quick work of him. Jorge Santiago is coming off of a win over Justin Levens in round one at UFN 5. Leben maybe coming back to fast to take this fight.
Dean Lister vs Yuki Sasaki
Record: 8-4 Record: 20-12-1
Pick: Dean Lister
Yuki Sasaki has
12 of his 20 wins by submission, while Dean Lister has all 8 wins by submission. Lister is coming off a big win over Alessio Sakara in a nice display of his jiu-jitsu. Expect this fight on the ground, Lister the winner not by submission but by decision.
Josh Koscheck vs Jonathan Goulet
Record: 8-1 Record: 16-6
Pick: Josh Koscheck
Jonathan Goulet is coming off a win over Luke Cummo by was not overly impressive in the fight, he did display some of this stills but I believe Josh Koschecks wrestling skills will over power Goulet. Josh Koscheck by Decision.
Jake O’Brian vs Christophe Midoux
Record: 7-0 Record: 9-5
Pick: Jake O’Brian
Christophe Midoux was supposed to make his UFC debut at UFC 58 but back out due to injury. He’s not overly impressive in his wins but can pack some heat in his hands. Jake O’Brian is a heavy hitter with stones for hands. This should be a good stand up fight unless Midoux takes O’Brian down.
Pat Healy vs Anthony Torres
Record: 26-10 Record: 4-1
Pick: Pat Healy
Have to pick experience here. Healy has more wins but his losses are to fighters that are actually some bodies. Pat “Bam Bam” Healy by submission.
Crafton Wallace vs Kalib Starnes
Record: 11-1-1 Record: 9-1-1
Pick: Crafton Wallace
Kalib Starnes is a submissionist with above average stand up, but he better work on it because Crafton Wallace packs KO power. I don’t think Starnes can make Wallace tap. This is a bad match up for him.
Jason Von Flue vs Joe Riggs
Record: 13-6-1 Record: 27-8
Pick: Joe Riggs
Joe “Diesel” Riggs is coming off a loss to Mike Swick by submission, once Swick got Riggs down it was over. But Swick took Riggs down with good stand up which I don’t believe Jason Von Flue has. Riggs will be able to redeem himself and hopefully have a Chris Leben / Joe Riggs match up.
Sammy Morgan vs Forrest Petz
Record: 18-7 Record: 17-2
Pick: Sammy Morgan
This is almost a pick’em fight. Sam Morgan was on TUF season 2, and Forrest Petz is a KOTF vet. Im picking Morgan is a close fight.

In the last three events you're 13 for 27 (48%). Are you tossing a coin?

I have to pick:
Parysian
Leben
Goulet, Goulet is underrated in the UFC due to his fight with Ludwig.
Lister
O'Brian
Healey
Starnes
Riggs
Morgan
pretty basic i think, lol
Everyone has gotta give Goulet his props. I think Cummo could beat Koshchek to be honest, and Goulet si very very well rounded, Goulet all the way.

Goulet's not what I would call well rounded. His standup is terrible. Doesn't matter much, because this fight will be on the ground. I think Koscheck wins by decision.

Goulet is known as being ko'd in an incredibly fast time, but he also has what i believe is the fastest ko ever, which he gave to someone in the TKO fight league.

Goulet couldn't stand with Cummo. And Cummo is not exactly a world class striker.
