He hasn't fought in the UFC since 1995 in the Draw vs Ken Shamrock.....I think he is a punk great fighter not the best but good, He should step into the UFC cage again against the likes of Randy, Chuck, Rich, ect.... Heck I bet Half the middle weights in the UFC could take him.

So I say he is a punk, With the UFC getting big in the US now he should come back and prove he isn't before he stops fighting for good !

He didnt care for the rule changes, preffered longer rounds and as a straight Jiu Jitsu guy, didnt care for standups, so he went to Pride where he felt the rules better suited him as a fighter. Nothing wrong with making personal choices as to what you feel best suits you as an athlete.

I can honestly say that the only punk I see is you. It takes a lot of balls to sit behind a computer screen and call a guy whole single handedly change the sport of MMA a punk. It must make you feel real big and cool. Without guys like Royce ....and all fighters for that matter, we wouldn't have a sport to love and discuss. I would love to see you call Royce a punk to his face.

Yeah dude i can see your new to the forum but dude step back a second and re read what you wrote guy, youre out of line, Royce has single handidly bossted the sport of MAA to Americans around the world, Ask anyone about the Ufc or MMa in general what they know about the sport and all they would say is GRACIE.. I agree with the responses to this thread. Please be a more considerate of fighters and other members before starting a thread like this. There is a reason members prefer FightForum over other MMA forums, and it not becuase we conduct polls on weather fighters are Punks or not.

It would have been perfectly acceptable if your poll question was :

"Do you think he should return to the octagon?"
or
"Do you think he could beat so and so?"

Or any number of intelligent questions, but calling him a punk accomplishes nothing and that is not the type thing we want to see here. You can voice your opinion with factual information you disagree with, but lets take the name calling elsewhere.
