I think he's still recovering from the beating he took from Franklin. In the meantime, he has been showing magazines like EGM and Wizard how terrible of a speller he is. Seriously, in an issue of EGM like 3 months ago, he sent them an e-mail about how celebs like him (LOL@ Nate "The Celebrity" Quarry) play video games. Needless to say, they made fun of him.... it was awesome.

From what i've heard he has a degenerative disk in his spine and recently had surgery. There is a chance he could not recover and never be able to fight again. I hope you all feel like ****. LOL OMG @ SPELLING ERRORS AND VIDEO GAMES!!!!11111

I hope he gets well, and back in the octagon. It's still funny that he can't spell, and considers himself a celebrity though....

I hope Nate will be ok too. He seems like a really good guy, from watching TUF1 episodes. His nose seemed broken in that fight with Rich also, hope he will recover from all injuries, and not be forced to be sidelined from what he loves doing, fighting in the UFC.

http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showthread.php?t=339232 <<<< Link to what Nate has to say about his e-mail.
Quoted from the e-mail:
"My name is Nathan Quarry, Nathan "Rock" Quarry to be precise. I am a big gaming fan and though you might want to do a right up on a 'celbrity' who enjoys gaming. I am a full contact fighter for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (nathanquarry.net). Anyway, what I have right now is a PSP and about a half a dozen games. Lately, I'm getting’ killed in Grand Theft Auto. Just thought you might be interested in a fan who kicks ass on the screen and in the cage!"
That's pretty funny if you ask me....

It's very petty if you ask me.

Ya I heard that Nate took a really risky surgury to help fix some disks in his back. It is very risky so he needs a lot of time to recover from his injury. He is almost out of the clear but it is so dangerous that he needs to be 100% sure he can fight again. I wanna see him fight again, he is a classy fighter, with lots of skill. You could give him some fights like Nate vs Swick, Quarry vs Marquardt, ect, I hope he gets better so we can watch him fight again.

It's true, and I heard it straight from Josh Haynes on the TUF forum. Nate's back is so messed up and his surgery was so risky that there was even a chance of lower paralysis. Good to hear that at least the surgery went well. I would imagine in rehabbing it he's had a lot of time on his hand, so it's no wonder he's playing video games. And I bet he didn't expect that email to get printed in the magazine -- he probably just intended on the editors reading it and deciding if they wanted to do a story on him. Embarrassing.

Thanks, JRIMH. Can't get a more thorough explanation than the one Nate's got on there.

Thanks a lot for posting that. That is a CRAZY amount of meds he was on. Morphine, perkasets, oxycotton and demerol, my god! No wonder he doesn't remember that week. That's enough to make an elaphant trip balls. I admire his positive attitude, i know i'd be bitching up a storm if it were me. The guy deserves some sympathy as far as i'm concerned. And might i add, his spelling and grammar were very good.

I visited his site also, read everything and e-mailed him wishing him a speedy recovery and luck getting back into the fight game. A couple of hours later he (or someone on his behalf) replied thanking me (by name of course) for my thoughts. They even replied to a comment I had made. Maybe it was the rock himself?

I honestly and truly hope he gets better, and is able to return to the octogon. He was a class act, always touching gloves, or even shaking hands with his opponents.
As far as the other posts about him go, they were just for giggles. Even Nate himself laughed about it in his response. After all, he was hopped up on painkilers when he wrote it.

I dislike the fact he tries to talk like hes so smart and intelligent but he really isn't. "This isn't a game I don't play games" is the funniest quote I've heard in a long time because after seeing Franklin own him Quarry made it look like he was playing a game and tooling him. I think he broke a spinal cord or something like that a person on another forum explained and that he can never fight again but I don't know if thats true because I think its bull and hes just ashamed of himself.
