Exactly.
How many times do we have to talk about this guy and keep saying the same stuff?
I don't like Diego because he seems content with not facing Hughes or GSP whereas most fighters, whether they have his skills or not, outwardly vocalize that they want a big matchup...want to be tested. Remember when Rogan asked him flat out what's next and who do you want to face, he side-stepped it and said something about how he "ain't got no rush" and something about God's plan for a tough(er) matchup. Lame.

You guys have it all confused. Diego Sanchez does not call the matches. He has never refused a match. He will fight whomever the UFC puts in front of him, and he has said that before many times.

I don't remember saying Diego sets his own matches and I don't remember saying Diego refused matches.
He also doesn't say anything along the lines of wanting to fight...anybody ranked above him....or anybody for that matter. I guess when he and/or God and/or Dana are ready, we'll see a Hughes or GSP match.

lol. its funny how when rashad comes up we all suggest that he has dominated, or at he very least beat his opponents, followed by : a decision win is still a win and thats all that matters.
are you suggesting that there was much doubt that diego wasnt gonna win before the judement was announced?
how do you know it was barely? isnt a win a win.
i will, however, suggest that saying barely may be as foolish as saying dominated, as we werent there in the judges minds when they made their decisions, so it may be my bad.
ill try this: watching diego's fights that went to a decision (bearing in mind that a win is still a win), i had little doubt that he was the clear victor. i would even go so far as to say that he dominated karo and nick "yeah, he still sucks" diaz.lol
i am not sure that i saw the allesio fight (but i am pretty sure i have), but a decision win is still a win.

Seriously though, what are you implying by saying that Diego doesn't want to fight anyone? That he doesn't want to fight period?Brandon Vera never called out Sylvia and is pressuring for more money like he's freaking Terrel Owens or someone.
This whole such and such fighter doesn't want to fight anyone routine is getting old.
Matt Hughes' management turned down an offer to fight with Diego.

I think that I agree with you essentially. And, one thing that all of Sanchez's matches have in common, regardless of dominance or whatever, is that Diego Sanchez has won all of them. Decision win or not, he keeps winning. He does more in each match than his opponents within the four key areas that judges look at: octagon control, grappling, effective striking, and aggression.

Monte Cox stated that they feared Diego was too tough of a comeback match up,and that they wanted either Karo or Lytle.
I reported this months ago,and now it appears that Hughes/Lytle is official.

well, i certainly hope that the hughes camp checks out this thread so they realise that they have no reason to fear diego.
surely, if the most dominant WW in ufc history thinks that diego is a competitor, then all the internet hate must be right, and matt is simply wrong.
NOTE TO MATT: if you read this, dont waste time worrying about diego. 4/5 internet haters agree: he aint that good.

I'm not saying that Diego doesn't want to fight anyone...I've just never heard him call anyone out or state the wants to fight _____...even when asked. It's strange, that's all. Most fighters wanna climb the ranks and call out the guy(s) ahead of them. I would like Diego so much better if he answered...gimme Hughes or gimme GSP already!!
Hughes & Co. said no to Diego? Tough guy Matt is no doubt sorting out a lot of mental issues right now after GSP ripped him a new one.
Gotta love it.

I agree that he has won all of his fights...dominance?? barely??? these are subjective ideas...I was on the other hand very surprised when Rogan asked him about a title shot after the Riggs fight that he didnt come out and say he wanted it. I know he doesnt make matches in all but he has beaten everyone below Hughes and GSP so he should be asking for A title shot. Unless he doesnt believe he can beat GSP that is.....I seem to remeber him being vocal about a title shot when hughes had the belt..But either way, I dont like him but he has earned a shot at the title. It doesnt seem like he wants to fight GSP though. Maybe Im wrong, but that is just the impression I get...Sort of the way everyone was saying Tito didnt want to fight Chuck...even though he was talking about it everytime someone shoved a mic in his face...I think it is just silly, how if you like a fighter you will make every excuse in the book for him, but if you dislike him you have no problem coming out and saying he doesnt want that shot

To be fair, one of Hughes' blogs states the opposite...
"The UFC says that I'm fighting on March 3rd, but I don't know who yet. I asked for Diego, but they want to save him for a title shot. I am glad to be fighting in Ohio, this way people from around here, who can't really afford to fly out to Vegas or California, will be able to watch one of my fights. So I look forward to a lot of local support. -Matt"

Hughes' blog may say that, but Monte Cox has stated several times that they were not going for Diego.
There has been several radio interviews with Monte saying this,I even provided links to them in other threads, and another guy provided an article substantiating the same thing.
