Rumoured card - UFC 63
-Matt Hughes vs. BJ Penn for the UFC Welterweight Title
-David Loiseau vs. Mike Swick
-Jens Pulver vs. Joe Lauzon
-Jason Lambert vs. Rashad Evans
-Melvin Guillard vs. Gabe Ruediger
-Jorge Gurgel vs. Danny Abaddi
-Roger Huerta vs. Jason Reinhardt
Now that's a PPV card! A title shot, a couple of contender sorters, and the rest are up-and-comers (well, not Abaddi). What a great night, assuming these happen. (Source, MMA Weekly Rumors section).

I dunno, guys only had one fight but 0-1-0 send him to KOTC or WEC, somewhere where he can test his skill and see if hes really worth being in the UFC or just a can to throw to the newer guys.

Jens Pulver vs. Joe Lauzon
Roger Huerta vs. Jason Reinhardt
I don't get it. Why not have Pulver add Huerta fight each other, instead of giving them UFC noobs?

-David Loiseau vs. Mike Swick is going to take fight of the night... calling it now! Loiseau is coming off a loss and is going to want to prove he should get another shot and Swick needs to show he belongs and didnt need TUF1 to get where he is. i see a blood bath... Loiseau's elbows are brutal... and thats an understatment!

Danny Abaddi is certainly a chump. I remember he got pummeled and practically killed by Ed Herman and then got off the mat acting like he won the fight and bragging about how awesome he was for taking that beating like a man

It's a solid card. I hope people again learned their lesson about assuming that big names equal a great fight. Chuck and Babalu was one-sided and over in 90 seconds, while Franca-Varner was back and forth and pretty much had it all. But how much do you want to bet people will be trash-talking this card because there aren't enough big names on it?
Melvin Guillard & Gabe Ruediger has the potential to be one of the best fights of the night. Ruediger is a machine (not literally, but he's a great fighter).
And I know Danny Abaddi acted like a chump on TUF3 and Gurgel should have no problem with him, but he's still got more than a puncher's chance. I've heard multiple times that at the tryouts, Danny made everyone in the room stop what they were doing when he was hitting the thai pads, because his striking was so fast and so hard. People were like, "this kid's a killer." And he did stun Ed Herman with that punch. I'm not saying he isn't going to lose, but he's apparently got fast hands and KO power. I'm sure he'll be a huge underdog, so it might be worth throwing some points or money on him for the potential payout.

What weight class is Abaddi/Gurgel? Abaddi fought at MW on TUF, and Gurgel's been a LW in the UFC. As Sitnspin said, Abaddi seemed to get some respect from the people on TUF for his boxing, though not for his mouth. Moving down two weight classes could be pretty significant.
I'm looking forward to these:
-Matt Hughes vs. BJ Penn
-David Loiseau vs. Mike Swick
-Jason Lambert vs. Rashad Evans
-Melvin Guillard vs. Gabe Ruediger
Honestly I'm more interested in Hughes/Penn right now than Hughes/GSP. If GSP had managed to take the belt from Hughes, it would have messed up Penn's rematch for me. That fight should be for the title because of all the crap that went down since Penn left the UFC.
Loiseau/Swick should be fast paced and explosive.
I love to watch Guillard fight for the same reasons, and it's high time Ruediger hit the big show.
Evans/Lambert is an important bout to sort out contenders in LHW. I'm hoping that Lambert wakes Evans up by beating him, or else making him mad enough to finish the fight. Whoever wins this should get Ortiz or at least Griffin.
Man, we need some more LHW's. (Rampage, please!).

I dont see why Danny is on a ppv either but it could be that he was a person to fill a spot. Maybe they needed someone and his name came up...who knows?

that seems like an alright card to be fair...but as someone mentioned a few posts ago about how its not as ''in your face'' as 61 and 62 were...
im looking forward to seeing matt hughes vs bj penn, for the fact of when penn defeated hughes the last time to what hughes became..since then matt has became something else.
a stronger, more explosive fighter and it will have to show alot if hughes can still shake the shadow of the loss away..for this fight.
tho i wanted to see george st take on hughes, but an injury is an injury, and im sure they will bang again some day in the future
