UFC PPV events using On Demand...
I'm thinking of watching UFC 63 using the UFC On Demand live stream. Has anyone used UFC On Demand to watch live streams for previous UFC PPV's? Did you have any problems and was it good quality? Thanks.
Edit: Also, does anyone know what the time of the PPV is eastern time? Is it 9-12?

The PPV will begin at 10p EST. My cable connection isn't trustworthy enough to watch it on my PC. Adelphia/Comcast are having an issue in my area for quite sometime now, and they're stating it won't be fixed for awhile.

They should make it cheaper than the tv price. I would have considered doing it if it was 29.95 or something like that, but if I have to pay what the TV price is it really isn't worth it.

on demand blows, i purchased a couture fight and learned you can only watch it for 7 days. its like renting a video. i though you could record it and keep it on your puter but you cant.
as for the live stream, i don't think i would risk it. 40 bucks and you could lose your connection...too many ifs. im just gonna go with the ppv

Yeh I'm kind of apprehensive about streaming it as well.
Knowing my luck with computers I'd probably end up ordering Sylvia/Arlovski 5.
If it was cheaper like say 20$,I'd probably take a chance.

Why would they let you record it, only to sell it on DVD at a later date? That just doesn't make any sense. See, you order the live stream, then later down the line, you can purchase the DVD, giving the UFC twice the money.
But, like everyone else mentioned, there is too much to worry about, as cable isn't even that reliable.

So to clarify, the live streaming starts at 10 eastern and includes the 5 main card fights and not the prelims? (ufc.com doesn't really tell you what you get exactly).

Thats such Bullsh*t. You should be able to save it on your computer, since you're forking over the money PAYING for it afterall.
Better to just buy the tv PPV. Then you can record it to a tape or better yet, a DVD-R To keep(Or do videotape first then transfer to DVD later, whatever).

Unfortunately I would if I had access to the tv PPV. I'm buying the online version for the first time just because I'm not just excited for one fight... I see several exciting fights coming on Sat night.

Why bother with the double post, you can edit you know. (Notice the edit Spirt)
EDIT* arn't the fights you buy from demand only like 2bucks? Why would you just want to pay 40$ for the whole PPV if there's only a couple fights you want?
Also, if you were smart enough you could just use a screen recorder that you can download for free in many places.

The per fight on demand serves a good function. We are talking about ordering the PPV using the on demand. It is 39.95 also.

Sorry, I thought he ordered a whole show.
However, I understand the annoyance with it being like you rented it. However, they do sell DVD's on the web site too. Perhaps they want you to buy the DVD if you want to keep it.

So they accept my credit card for UFC 63 and UFC 64 and then come back with 'authorization failed' for UFC 65 on the same credit card in good standing?! Tried 2 cards as well. Oh, and they put a holding charge on my card which they would do if they accepted my payment. I've contacted customer support so we shall see if they do anything. Ok, rant over. I really wanted to see this one too.

I've tried to download from On Demand at least eight times now. It fails every time. I've been in touch with the UFC three times for help, and my son the computer networking pro had a go. No luck. I got them to reverse the charge on all but three fights, but so far I haven't been able to watch anything. The UFC suspects that some sort of copyright protection in my computer is causing the problem. Sucks though, there are some fights on there I really want to see.

Just Ordered UFC77
Hope it works out. It seems like it did't work for some. Is it true it starts at 10? Why would they say live and show later? Do I just wait on the ufc site for the event?
Man I hope this works, I really didn't want to go out with all the cops out on Sat night. (Sorry Krav I like to drink )
